Gilmanton Corners 4th of July Association
The Gilmanton Corners 4th of July Association has provided the Independence Day Celebration activities for the community for many years. Records exist back to 1948, but references at that time indicate the Association was in place and functioning prior to that year. The Association is a separate, non-profit organization. Events are funded through private donations, an annual donation from the Town and the sale of food and promotional items.
The Association currently consists of approximately 15 people. People are welcome to join the Association at any time. In addition, volunteer assistance at each of the events is encouraged and greatly appreciated. It is only through those individuals who add additional assistance at each event that the celebration can continue.
The current members of the Association have chosen Gilmanton - Coming Together to Celebrate as our theme and goal; bringing everyone from the Corners, the Iron Works, Lower Gilmanton and away together to establish, preserve and renew bonds and friendships.
This website has been developed to provide information on current and upcoming 4th of July activities and to preserve and share information on past community celebrations. To join the Association, offer assistance at any event, make a donation, or inquire about upcoming events e-mail or call 267-6434.
