Summary: Rory has her hands full when she's chosen as one of a couple girls to be auctioned...
Part 1It started out normal, at least for the most part. Rory Gilmore rolled over hitting her alarm clock, forcefully searching for the buzzer, nearly knocking her clock over in the process. After the task had been completed she then hung half way off her bed just closing her eyes and wishing the already tiring day to just go away. Finally she rolled over until she groaned in despair, her eyes flew to the red digits of her current enemy. Resigning to fate she groggily pulled herself up and swung her feet to the side well pushing the comfortable blankets away from her body and letting the somewhat cool air chill her skin, causing her to shiver slightly.
Bare feet hit the floor as she continued to shiver, her slightly thin pj's did nothing to keep out the cold and the young brunette slightly cursed to herself at why every morning when "she" got up it had to be so cold. Wrinkling her nose slightly she brought her cloth covered sleeve to her eyes, gently rubbing her eyes to dispel the tiredness as much as she could from her sleepy figure. Shaking her head she finally pulled herself out of slumber and swiftly got to her feet standing awkwardly before gaining full grace and moving ever so quickly, and quietly across the floor to her closet. Pulling the door handles opened she casually reached in taking out one of her newly washed and dry cleaned uniforms contrary to her grandmother, Emily Gilmore's requests. Shuffling around for a bit she laid down everything that she needed for another school day before smiling in satisfaction and opening her door to make her way to the bathroom for a quick shower.
Rory knew her daily schedule, though she would never admit to anyone how utterly frustrating it was to get up, she liked to cloak her minor faults from people who would certainly classify her as a normal teenager, which Rory would rather swallow decaffeinated coffee than ever commit to revealing.
Shortly after taking her shower, doing her daily routine of brushing, flossing, putting on clothes and so forth. Rory then decided to go all out as she looked at the flashing clock out of the corner of her eyes to see it was still much to early to awake her mother. Making her way barefooted to the kitchen she proceeded to dig out a collectable "Charlie's Angels" plate and lay it down on the counter as well as taking out two cups of the Charlie Brown Christmas mug collectibles to match. Making her way and pulling out knives, and other such utensils and supplies she then proceeded to pop two blueberry pre-sliced bagels into the toaster well setting the kettle atop of the stove to heat.
Leaning up against the counter she heard the bagels popped up and took both out well juggling them from the hotness that permitted from the newly toasted slices. Taking out the cream cheese she spread a thin layer on each and then went on business to prepare the extra creamy, high caffienated coffee's. Taking a tray out from underneath the pantry she placed one plate and a coffee on top and proceeded to walk towards her mothers room. Opening the door she placed the tray on the side and brought the steaming hot coffee just under her mothers nose.
"Wakey, Wakey." Rory mumbled softly.
Smiling slightly as her mom groaned and her eyes fluttered opened. "Common mom, can't you spell the special eelier I've made just for you?" Rory commented as admittedly her Lorelai Gilmore fixed her eyes and on the cup below her nostrils.
"Is that Folgers with a hint of Belgian and swiss mixed in?" Lorelai commented.
"Yep, and I even added the two lumps of sugar and that french vanilla you like." Rory commented chirpily.
"Oh yum." her mom commented as her hands shot out and captured the precious drink well getting into a sitting position. "What a way to wake up." she commented as she took a long sip of her coffee before pulling the mug away and making smacking noises before smiling and handing it to Rory to place back the tray.
"And what next is on the agenda?" Lorelai commented looking anxiously at Rory as the young girl smiled mischievously and picked up the plate which contained the bagels.
"Yum and crispy and hot just like I like, did I mention I love you?" Lorelai proclaimed before grasping for it only to have it being taken away out of range as Rory held out a finger and muttered, "Nope, right you have to get up... I'll lay all this out for you on the table. Do what you need to do and if it's cold then you can heat it just a bit, I need to get ready."
"Awe spoil the lovely moment, say you didn't happen to lay out those smiley napkins with the peace signs out did ya?" she commented as Rory placed everything on the tray again and proceeded to start to walk away.
Turning around Rory looked wide eyed before muttering, an "opps". Lorelai scolded, "You can't start a well balanced meal without the smilies." She explained. Rory rolled her eyes before good naturally smiling and muttering, "Stop stalling or I'll throw the coffee away."
"Your evil!" Lorelai yelled after her as Rory disappeared out of sight.
