Emily ignores Lorelai's pleas to stay out of her love life, and tries to reunite Christopher with his family, resulting in an ugly confrontation between Rory and her father. Meanwhile, Lorelai fights off the romantic attentions of the town geek, Kirk and Rory learns that Jess is angry that she ignored him over the summer.
