LIFELINE

US Army, 2014

Codename: Lifeline

Real name: Unknown

Age: 45

Race: Human

Occupation: Medtechie, Trauma Team.

Background: Lifeline is one of the oldest entities found in the 'cafe. Born way back in 1985, he remembers a lot about pre-collapse America. He joined up with the US Army in 1998 at the age of 18. During the Central American wars, he was trained as a field medic and combat surgeon, accompanying both regular units and black ops squads in Panama, Columbia and Venezuela. In 2010 on a patrol with the a US squad in Columbia, the squad was ambushed and Lifeline was badly injured by a claymore-style mine. His legs and eyes were ruined, and reconstructive surgery left him with more than a few scars, both mentally and physically. He was "volunteered" to try out some of the first mass-produced cyberlimbs on his legs, and was fitted with cyberoptics. In 2011, Lifeline went back to work with the army as a general surgeon. Concerned with the growing number of voluntary cyberreplacements, he became an advocate in the cyber-moderation group in 2012. He was dishonorably discharged in 2015 due to a incident with a high ranking medical officer. He refuses to talk about this event to this day.

The corps were more than willing to snap him up though. He has been working with TraumaTeam International ever since, though he ever looks for something better to do.

Personality Profile: Lifeline doesnt have respect for authority... unless they earn it. He may be a little blunt and aloof sometimes, but his treatment of medical conditions expertise personified. He loathes the idea of voluntary cybernetic replacement, speaks out to those who wish to undergo such a horrific treatment. He is a loner, seeing himself as being too old to have fun.

Known cybernetics: Cyberlegs and feet, kiroshi optics with options, times square marquee.

Known gear: Comprehensive medikit with tools, TTI AV-4, Mac-17 submachine gun, Colt AMT pistol, TTI card, cell phone
