Background: Nadia was bred to compete in the Death Games, like her brother Delorean. She escaped the games when she was 18 after having killed her winger in a brutal final round of Ultimates. After her escape, she found herself alone and unprepared to deal with the real world that she had never known about. She was befriended by Blayd, who gave her a job as a solo with Militech, Inc. Militech quickly became very interested in their new employee's Death Gamer training, impressed with her seeming ability to completely shut off her emotions and become a killing machine. Angyl, however, was just discovering her feelings, especially for the handsome netrunner Johnny, who she was falling in love with. Militech saw Johnny as an obstacle to their plans to develop a whole platoon of solos trained to be as cold-hearted as Angyl, so they made it clear to him: either leave Angyl or they would assign a Hellhound program to hunt him down the next time he jacked into the Matrix. Angyl refused to give up her chance at love, so she and Johnny went on the run, Angyl with a new identity and Johnny with a bioencryption filter that JackBoot slipped to him which allowed him limited jack-in without fear of the Hellhound. Johnny and Angyl, now known as Nadia Fairlight, took refuge at Sierra Survival with Angyl's brother Del to try to figure out how to get their freedom. While there, Angyl discovered that Johnny would not be the only new love in her life...she is carrying his baby as well.
