"I know I'm innocent"
ProSport : Andreea, do you feel up to jokingly talking about happened to you?
Andreea Răducan: Sure, I didn't lose my sense of humor.
PS: You started laughing when you got in the car, surrounded by police officers and reporters.
AR: I couldn't help myself. Handcuffs were the only thing missing to make this look exactly like a scene from an American movie. I cried until then, but when I saw so many people around us, I started laughing when I got in the car.
PS: You weren't scared by the big crowd?
AR: All the cameras rushed towards us, and hit our car so hard, I thought it was going to break. That didn't scare me. As I said before, I thought it was funny.
PS: How do you feel knowing people talk about you, and Australian news start off talking about your case?
AR: I won two gold medals and a silver, and hardly anyone mentioned me, both on television, or in the newspapers. It was enough for me to take a cold pill, and now everyone wants to know more about me.
PS: Do you think IOC could chance their decision and rule in your favor?
AR: I still have hope, and most importantly, regardless of IOC's decision, I will keep my spirits up, because I know I'm innocent.
PS: Ion Tiriac offered to take you one a trip to Hong Kong for a few days.
AR: The COR President made a very nice gesture, and I thank him for it. I was deeply moved by the fact he offered me a short vacation in Hong Kong, to separate me from all that's going on here. But I want to return home as soon as possible.
PS: Octavian Belu said he might take you some other place (besides Deva) to train there for a while.
AR: That's right. I don't know where we'll go yet. Truth is I could use a "break" from all this madness. But we need get home first.
