"Interview with Andreea Răducan's mother"
ProSport : Mrs. Simina Răducan, could you comment on what to your daughter in Sydney?
Simina Răducan: It's an indescribable shame. They tore away Andreea's medal, after she worked for years to get it. This kid didn't have a childhood. But I do think my daughter will walk away with her head held high from this mess.
PS: Who do you think is guilty?
SR: Someone has to pay for what happened, right? I don't want to blame anyone, but I feel there are people who have to be held responsible.
PS: Anyone in particular?
SR: Andreea Răducan didn't get a degree in medicine to know what pills she can take, or which ones she can't take. There was a team doctor.
PS: Dr. Ioachim Oană already admitted he's guilty.
SR: Yes, but I don't know if that's enough. Actually, the coaches are partly responsible, too. They were so careful in watching Andreea to make sure she didn't eat any chocolate or cookies, they could have paid just as much attention to what happened now.
