Simona Amanar gets Married

Former world Champion, Simona Amanar, said a very determined “yes” at yesterday’s civil ceremony while marrying the soon of former Romanian Union party President and Agriculture Minister, Valeriu Tabara. The ceremony was held at 11 am in the Timisoara Town hall Ballroom. Visibly nervous, the former world-class gymnast (still only 4ft 9 –1.45m) set foot inside the Town hall alongside Cosmin-Gabriel Tabara, her future husband, holding the hand of one of his nieces. The counselor who officiated the ceremony wished Simona “lots of children” in her marriage as a result. The newly wed, Cosmin also confessed to being nervous. He is doing his law practical training in Bucharest. “This is a very important moment for us because we’re living out a beautiful love story, “said Simona, who will now go by her married name of Tabara-Amanar.

Out of the 5 gymnasts who decided to set up their private club in Timisoara, only Lavinia Milosovici came to the civil ceremony. Maybe because she feels more involved in the two newly weds’ happiness, since she introduced them to one another at her wedding. Simona Amanar, originally from Constanta, decided to move to Timisoara and it looks like the rest of her family will follow suit. Other note-worthy guests, besides the father-in-law, included TV host Dan Negru and his new girlfriend.
