Sabina Cojocar Interview
Original articles was published on Nov. 8th in Gazeta Sporturilor
Sabina Cojocar spent only 24 hours in Romania, before leaving for the Massilia Cup, where she will compete alongside Andreea Rãducan, Oana Ban, Oana Petrovschi and Monica Rosu. Romanian newspaper Gazeta Sporturilor caught up with Sabina who agreed to do a brief interview.
GS: Was it hard in Ljubljana, Sabina?
SC: It wasn’t a difficult competition. Quite the opposite. That’s exactly why I’m anything but pleased with my performance there.
GS: Why?
SC: Because my scores were very low and I expected more [out of myself]. Beyond that, I still have big problems on beam.
GS: Any health problems?
SC: Unfortunately, I complained of serious back pain during the competition, since I had a strained muscle in my back that bothered me the whole time. I don’t want anyone to think I’m looking for excuses now, but this is true.
GS: You’re going to your last competition before Worlds in Marseille. Do you think you’ll have time to recover?
SC: As far as my health goes, I don’t think it will be a problem. I just need to be in my best shape, because my competitors at Worlds will be very strong.
