Maria Olaru & Loredana Boboc Update

Two former gymnasts from the Sydney Olympic team, Loredana Boboc and Maria Olaru, decided to start teaching fitness classes this fall at the modern gym set to open for business in the near future. The gym is located inside Unirea Mall in Bucharest.

The Fitness Academy facility belongs to the fitness federation, whose president is Mr. Liviu Miron. Besides Loredana and Maria, other gymnasts teaching at the gym include Yanina Oltean, World champion in fitness, and former rhythmic gymnast Gina Pătrascu. Robert Pescaru, a competitor at the recent Mister India competition where he placed in the top 15, will also join the coaching staff. The coaching staff has been working under the guidance of Liviu Miron for the past few days, getting ready for the big opening day. The future trainers are staying at the Sky Gate Hotel in Bucharest. "This is a new field for me, but it’s fairly interesting. I hope I can work as well as possible with the people who will come to the gym,” said Loredana Boboc.

Maria Olaru, who has recently started studying for her second degree, in management and public relations, believes teaching fitness is a very appealing idea. “It’s a bit abnormal to work with people who don’t dream about big-time performances. I already started doing fitness and my colleague, Gina, aught me the skills that are performed to music.” Gina Pătrascu is already familiar with fitness and she has been teaching it to children for a while.
