Behavioral error:

Callng my friend Taylor by another friend, Heather's, name.

When/where:

12/28/03, Starbucks in Frankfort

Why this is an error:

Taylor's name is obviously not Heather

Processes:

Perception
Taylor and Heather have a slight resemblance to each other; the error can be blamed on a possible failure of visual cells located along the ventral stream from the primary visual cortex. These cells responsive to facial stimuli.

Memory
I was frustrated with the current conversation, the stress of the situation released hormones such as cortisol that impaired my ability ot clearly recall the correct name.
