Error #9

Behavioral error:

Using the wrong method for a math problem.

When/where:

12/18/03, math class at LWC

Why this is an error:

My method did not yield the correct answer.

Processes:

Conditioning
I was not properly conditioned to solkve the math problem correctly. I did not perform the desired stimulus to result in positive reinforcement (getting the correct answer) enough for the behavior to become permanent.

Memory
This is a source-monitoring error; I mixed up my problems and my methods of solving them. My lack of complete understanding resulted in inefficient coding because no semantic encoding took place. Passage of time between encoding and retrieval led to decay of my limited knowledge. The result was pseudoforgetting, beause the information was never learned to begin with.
