Until recently when I discovered the Art-Work by Thomas Kincade, I'd never been much of an avid Art-Lover. I LOVE scenic paintings, ones that you can imagine yourself actually THERE. The beauty of nature can be captured by someone who truly appreciates all that it stands for. Thomas Kincade is definitly one of those Artists. A few months back they opened a Thomas Kincade Gallery here in my city, and I was so excited!! Now I can see hiw work anytime (Unfortunately affording them is a different story...hehehe), and he is definitly someone who captures a beautiful scenic moment in time; whether walking in the snow, on a bridge, in a lamplit town, or by the sea. If you haven't yet seen how beautiful of an atrist he is, please take some time to look thru the selected pictures I have on this page or the Links I have provided. U can also look him up on any of the Search Engines. |

Thomas Kincade is known as "The Painter of Light" as he is able to capture and recreate how light is captured in a single moment. He grew up in Northern California, and was the product of a very loving and enriched family. After graduating from the University of California at Berkley, he traveled to many small towns and cities and did what he does best, sketched and painted what could only be viewed by his artistic eye. He married his childhood sweetheart in 1982, Nanette. Her constant source of support and encouragement has given him his true source of inspiration, and if you look closely at his paintings, you can find tributes to his wife in them, in the form of hidden "N's" that you have to look very closely to see. He's a very devout Christian and family man, and his inspiring paintings are often of fond memories and travels from his childhood recreated in dramatic effect. And because of this...because he is so passionate about his work and family life, he can create scenes of complete beauty and love. Being "The Painter of Light" suits Thomas Kincade perfectly. |
