The Man I've Yet to Love

by Gina "Dusty" Fank

I walk alone in this world.
It may seem that I'm fine
But there's loneliness in my soul;
I long for a heart to call mine.

This whole world's full of people
And yet I'm all alone.
I walk around with a smile
But I cry when I get home.
Just to look at me
You'd think that I'm alright,
But for me it's a struggle
Just to make it through the night.

Sometime I would like to sleep
With nothing on my mind,
But someone's always there,
Someone I've yet to find.

Every night I'm forced to see
A man I've never met.
He's wedged into my memory
And it'll kill me yet.
