Singer/songwriter Chad Gingrich began his career in his hometown of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Chad, being musical for the larger portion of his life, began teaching himself the guitar recently after his 15th birthday. He has been in love with the art of writing songs ever since.
In the winter of 2002, just six months after he began his pursuit in playing guitar, he began touring with long time friend Steven Fassnacht. The two played many shows, playing many popular hits along with debuting original works.
In May of 2004, Chad and Steve put on a large concert to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation held in the cafeteria of the Ephrata High School. They employed the help of drummer Steve Goss (Anonymous Joe), guitarist Scott Fairchild (Something Fluid, 2 for the Road Acoustic), and pianist Matthew McElravy. They put on a tremendous show with the help of other students who performed several solo acts.
Chad is currently studying to obtain his BA in Music Education at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. While his major is in trumpet, he still remains intently focused on his guitar playing and song writing.
"It seems as though the when I arrived here, my songwriting took off and and I can't put my guitar down and stop writing songs, it's great!"
Chad's influences include Dave Matthews, Howie Day, Radiohead, Ben Harper, Matthew McElravy, Ben Folds, among others.
Chad is currently playing in the West Chester/Philly region, so be sure to check him out. For showings, check out the shows page of this site. |
