Traveling Ginny's Diary

ARIZONA

Wed Mar 28, 2001 8:06pm

I'm here! I made it! What a trip that was from Debbie's in Nebraska to Ginnylinda in Arizona! I sure am glad I had my Betsy Paperdoll and Crayons and colorbook with me!. an my 'Tale of Benjamin Bunny' book, too! I shouldn't have been smellin' and touchin' my basket of flowers so much, though ... shhhhhh don't tell that they are all loose! ... someone here must be able to help me glue them back in....then I'll be ever-so-careful ... Oh yeah! An' they don't serve meals on these USPS planes so I AM HUNGRY! Ohmygollie! there are so many new friends here! And they are all telling me what they want to show me! All different stuff! WHO'S THE BOSS AROUND HERE? Can you believe the first thing I did was get opened up on the scanner? I have a feeling Ginnylinda is crazy 'bout takin scans and pictures! These gals want to see all my stuff first. Wee Imp has her eye on my new pjs. Ginnylinda ALWAYS wears those sunglasses! An TV Ginny says there are Looney Tunes on tv right now! ... ooooh!.they're lovin my new bedspread! and apple basket and diarys! Uh oh! I better keep an eye on my stuff! Where's the cake? ... somebody mentioned a cake!

Wed Mar 28, 2001 8:22pm

They were making such a big fuss over my new bedspread from Debbie that we scanned it for all our friends to see! See all the embroidered names of new hostesses/ friends I'm making on my trip and the places I'm going? And to think I have just begun!

Thu Mar 29, 2001 4:56am

These guys and gals here said my party dress just won't do for visitin'  'round hereabouts! So, Ginnylinda's sis got to diggin through her scraps of  leather and cotton and pieces of whatnot notions and whipped up these brand  new 'one of a kind' duds! (cause many know Linda never gets 'round to  making the second most times!) They're tellin' me there are ponies around  here to ride somewhere, too!

YaaaaaHOoooo ... Yaaawwwnnnnn ... But ... Travelin'  and gettin' fittings for new duds is sure tiring. Tomorrow's another day and I'm sure it starts a little later than usual 'cause I'm sleepin in! G'night Everybody! from Fountain Hills, Az

Dear Diary,
What an exciting day today! Holy Cow! I met a Palomino Pony! And tomorrow I can ride her! Today we were making friends. Ginnylinda and Ginny Cartright said that's the best way. My pony's name is Jingles. Jeff told me. That's because when they put bells on her reigns, she shakes and shakes them cause she loves the musical sound it makes! My kind of Pony! Ginnylinda is gonna ride tomorrow, too, of course. But she is gonna ride bareback! Can you imagine??? Maybe Ginny Cartright will come along, too. ... and they said if we plan to be gone a long, long time we should load up Ginny's burro to carry some food for lunch and snackin. I think that's a HOT-DOG idea! If it's hot tomorrow, we'll head up the mountain  where it's cooler. Cause when it's hot in the desert, it's HOT! and there aren't shade trees around, neither! And oh, yes, Becky! We had cake! and more cake for breakfast, too! I bet Becky knows what we had for dinner?! I love it here! :)

Last night I put on my red nightgown to sleep but it was just too warm, so I slept in my new cowgirl panties and my boots , too. (Oh! and somebody was snorin', but I couldn't tell who it was in the dark) And there's a teenager that lives here who's alarm is a blasting radio at 5:00 a.m.! . How do all these girls sleep through that? At least the snoring was stopped then. Well, my new friends are callin me. ... gotta go! Love, T. Ginny

Dear Diary!

Finally! We are going on a trail ride today! I couldn't sleep all night! I'm sure Jingles liked me when I met him ... and now we get to go on a ride! Giddyup! First we have to go to the stable and get the horses and the
saddles ... Jeff and John will help us, Ginnylinda said. And Ginny Cartright is coming, of course, and more friends, too! Tommy and Kelly heard about it and they are coming! Ooooh! I can hardly stand waiting to see what
we will find!

Love, T. Ginny

Dear Diary,

I'm roped! I wanna grow up to be a cowgirl! It was so much fun today riding Jingles! It was like we have been friends forever! The sun was shining.......I think I got some sunburn? and I couldn't find my new sunglasses this mornin when we were leavin so I really had a 'day in the Az. sun!' So glad I had my new red cowgirl hat.....it's not just for looking cool!

We were ridin along over some hills and through the desert. We saw a coyote dart into the ravine and lots of quail running around! Yes, running! Don't see any of them flying much......it's more like leaping than flying! haha! They run in a line in little families......Mom and Dad in front and all the little ones, one by one, behind them! They are so cute! We stopped and looked closely at some bugs on the ground scurrying around and at some strange looking cacti, too. Ginnylinda tried to remember what they were called. One was a Jumping Cholla...Because if you even get near to it, it seems to stick you. (that's because the ends of the thorns are so fine you can't see them and you are closer than you think!) Another was a totem pole cactus...named this because it seems to develop shapes along the spines that look like faces. There were many, many, more. Do you know that Saguaro Cacti are hundreds of years old? I'm glad I was on Jingles, cause it looked like everywhere you step, there could be cacti needles, and they sure hurt! Some of them have a poison on them that makes it hurt for hours after you remove them! Owie! Ginny Cartright came with us, too! And Tommy and Kelly and Jeff and John and more cowpoke! Here are some of us...that's me in front! I'm always ready to get back to riding first! And Ginny Cartright in the white hat, Tommy and Jeff and of course there's Ginnylinda, too. We found a little bit of shade to rest for a spell by that big cactus. Ginnylinda says she sees some smoke signals over the next hill. So we headed off to see!

Love, T. Ginny

Dear Diary,

Yippee! We are gonna eat something after all! Ginnylinda was teasing me that since I didn't remember the food, we would have to find bugs to eat! BLUGH! We came across some cowboys who were camped out and they invited us to lunch ..they call it grub????( I am grateful..........but I don't think I should ask what we are having, I am too hungry)......And while we are waiting to eat, we can play with Sparky and the cowgirl and her Woody doll! Mmmmm I sure hope they have marshmallows to toast for dessert! It will feel good to get down from Jingles for a spell........Jingles probably feels the same way!

Love, T. Ginny

Pssst.... this cowboy and cowgirl in the green are Linda's childhood dolls......from 1953! (an Becky, I agree with Ginnylinda that they became Linda's PAIR when you grew out of playin with your cowgirl!.....so there!) They have been cowpoke (and together!) for a long, long time! :)

Dear Diary,

EEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeek! I saw a RATTLER today! It was right there! Right in front of me! What was I to do?????? PANIC! I screamed! EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeK! Ginnylinda turned and ran like the dickens! (later she said she was goin for help?)............. Ginny Cartright rode her pony over and chased the rattler away. Lucky for me! I was F-R-O-Z-E-N ! Scared the beheegees out of me! I never want to come that close to one again! I hope you can see it in the picture..........it is there....but rattlers blend in with the desert... that's their protection. Why, I coulda stepped on it! The Indians told me this is the time of year snakes like to sun themselves! Oh Great! Now they tell me!!! ?

Dear Diary,

Ginnylinda was right! The smoke signals led us to some Indians over the hills. We are now on the Indian Reservation. There are different rules here, so we better be careful. These Indians are a mixture from various tribes getting together for a Powwow. Yes, powwows are real. Linda went to one years ago and saw many ceremonial dances and such (it is kinda like a convention?) They gave us cards of the names of the Native American Tribes of the Southwest and Indian Symbols (which are drawings and what they mean.....like a drawing of a horse means Journey and crossed arrows means Friendship and snake means defiance/wisdom, etc.) I get to keep the cards, so they will be in my stuff! There were only a few Indians gathered so far and only the girls were at the teepee site ..........powwows grow to have hundreds participate from several states sometimes. You can see the canoe in this picture, too...... the riverbed is dry now, or we could have taken a ride, phooey! They said the mountain snows have to melt to fill the rivers again.....can you see the rounded river rocks in the back? Ginny Cartright is good friends with these nice people that live here. They were very nice to us.

Love, T. Ginny

Dear Diary!
We found it! We found GOLD! Too bad it belongs to Ginny prospector! But she told us how she discovered it and showed us some. She lives up in the mountain most of the time diggin and diggin and pannin. I don't see how that makes you feel rich?........ We had fun visitin her and hearing all her funny stories! Teehee Why she even has a pet buffalo! named Betty! HAHA! Can you believe it? Can you see him? He is pretty BIG and pretty dark in the shadows. yes, Betty the buffalo is a boy.........I don't get it, either, but you don't get anywhere trying to straighten out things with Ginny prospector!
Sat Mar 31, 2001 11:53am

Hooray Saturday! You know what that means!!! Garage Salin' The sun is up and we are ready to go! Ginnylinda said I shouldn't dress fancy, (can't bargain for prices in fancy duds!) so I borrowed her touristin outfit ... and her camera so's I can take some pics, too! Happy Day! Wonder what treasures we'll find? And to top it off, there is a doll show today, too! And I'm gonna meet Linda's grandaughters and goin' to Sandy's Dream Dolls in Glendale! What a fun-soundin day! Wheeeee! Gotta go ... later!

T. Ginny

Sun Apr 1, 2001 12:20pm

Just before we left yesterday, T. Ginny had a great idea! She said she needed more than the quarter I gave her for shoppin, so look what she came up with! She knew we were going to garage sales and the doll show where there would be lots of shoppers.Smart little cookie! and she has been hearing the "buzzzzz". Now, I wouldn't allow Ginnylinda to do this...as she takes after me! A collector of EVERYTHING! but then this was T. Ginny's idea.

Sun Apr 1, 2001 12:44pm

How about that! The first lady that inspected the yucky dress bought it! But T. Ginny was itching for some cash, so she let the lady talk her down...to a NICKEL! I couldn't believe it (I was busy taking their picture while the transaction took place!) Ohmygollie! The lady really liked the hat...(is she nuts, or what?) T. Ginny has a lot to learn! It's a good
thing we didn't take her other stuff with us, huh? Well, at least I got a picture of the two of them and their first entrepreneur-ship.This is the tiny version, taken with Ginnylinda's camera. Hope you can make out some of it. There is a lot of hubbub going on. This was a church rummage sale and the people were real nice. T. Ginny loves what she bought with the nickel! She slept with him last night! Don't you just love him? :)

Sun Apr 1, 2001 8:30pm

Aprill Fool's! T. Ginny didn't really sell her "ugly dress" (hey, she might play an ugly stepsister someday in a play when she is a movie star). Fess up now. Who thought I really let T. Ginny sell her ugly dress? (hint: B_ _ _ y did!! RATFLOL! My own sister!) But a lady really did pick it up to look at it! Boy! were we surprised! LOL! That was at the church rummage sale.

Next we went to the doll show and Lauri McMahon let T. Ginny try to sell it at her table, and there were NO takers! (but there were more than a few strange glances and the guy that tried to get in the picture, but isn't said that he is available!) Ginnylinda even modeled the hat! IMAGINE! Hmph! Here the two cousins are amongst all Lauri's Ginnys for sale!
(at least the girls got to sit down while I shopped!). I found a Jeff look-a-like and Ginnette look-a-like and a couple of Toy Story 2 toys I LOVE! (Mc-etch-a-sketch and the Mc-martian in spaceship) PLUS! I found out about another doll show being next week! It's kinda hard to go to a doll show after garage sales ... the prices are soooo different! T. Ginny wants to do the garage salin again next week and she mentioned trying the dress on ebay in the meantime?

Mon Apr 2, 2001 1:36am

Dear Diary!

What fun the garage sales were today! You wouldn't believe it! There is good stuff and junky stuff and kids and men and ladies and everybody doin' this! Linda says she sees many of the same people every week, That's not competition cause she's lookin' for tiny stuff and toys and old stuff! The others are usually looking for grown-up things to use in their houses or to re-sell or boring tools'n such. Linda loves to see the boxes marked  "FREE" cause sometimes that's the best stuff to her! Why at the church bazaar today, she pulled a plastic parasol off the top of the garbage! And
the lady said, "well, we can't charge you for that!" (It's a cool thing!) If there is a box of toys at the sale, rule is to head for that first! especially if there are kiddies around ... and if we put the box up on top of another box (cause Linda's back can't take all that bending over) ... the kids will have to wait! Then we search the bottom carefully ... great little stuff seems to work it's way to hidin down
there!

Now some of you are used to Linda's Garage Sale Scans (you know who you are) ... and there will be one coming like that (loot spread on the
scanner!) But first here is our first big purchase at a yard sale! Nicole rung us up! She said she never had such little customers before! ... and the stuff we bought piled up to be way bigger than us! How did that happen? Can you see what we bought? A Dalmation puppy and a clown suit (Ginnylinda is wearing the hat!) and a reindeer suit (Nicole is holding it) and that's a real mink stole! (well, it looks really real.....it even has a label and initials inside) Linda is gonna make us both a coat and hat and muff! (I hope she is, if she can figure it out during the next week! Aren't we glad our week just started today?! (per the travel plans) LOL) We got more stuff here, too ... little Quacks came from here and a Santa suit and a Ginny size Bulls T-Shirt (coin purse we'll have to redo ... or maybe it can hang on a wall?) we got the horses a stable, too! Yeah! a stable! How about that! Called Chestnut Farms! and we got a little sister dolly! You'll see! I'll get Linda to scan 'em for you soon! Gotta go now. They're gettin some ice cream out of the freezer! mmmmmmm

 Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 2:04am

Hi All!

To buy or not to buy. Buying big stuff can be a big choice sometimes! Specially when it costs a whole $2 !!! Here is Ginnylinda and I decidin if Chestnut Ridge Farms Stable will suit our ponies. It seems the last ponies that lived here were called Amber, Star, Rusty and Raven (no, Becky, find your own for your sweet Raven?) It's missing a couple of pieces but that's okay. We decided YES! Buy IT! Jingles and all the ponies are going to be soooo happy!  Oh! I still have to tell you about our ride the other day, huh? and our picnic! and the rattler! Gee willikers, time flies! Oh, and see the santa suit lying in front of the stable? That's the one we bought ... think it might fit Ginnette or Ginny Baby? We just love it when people don't put their Christmas stuff away, so they SELL IT! :)

I hear somebody calling me ... a bath? can I bring some toys? Can I bring the little plastic ponies I found in the bedroom last night? bye all, gotta go! T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 3:08am

Dear Diary,
Here it is! The first scan of the 'loot' we got at the garage sales yesterday! (it might just take two scans?) I love my Quacks! He is soooo soft and cuddly to sleep with! Since Ginnylinda and Linda had the money, I couldn't buy much, but they made me a great deal for helping them!
I can choose stuff from Ginnylinda's extras at home! And I already have my eye on a couple of things I like lots more than these anyway! Ginnylinda says it takes lots of garage sales to find the extra special stuff, but that every week is like a real treasure hunt! And she always finds somethin that is fun! or somethin that is just perfect for a friend!

You can see the little Sister that Ginny will adopt in the corner and next to her is "Sonny, the CuKoo Bird", that's Cukoo for Cocoa Puffs" (somehow breakfast cereal stuffed premium characters became a collection of Ginny's! Who knew?) ... then there are little Christmas presents (that came off a candle ring), my Sweet Quacks!, Dalmatian puppy, shiny, walking wind-up robot (Linda's 2000 Revisited Ginny has a Robot collection!), there's a balancing Curious George and a Curious George Funhouse mirror (T. Ginny looks real fat or real tall in it, depending on how you set the lever on the side! It's for
Rock 'n Roll Carolyn! ), there's the Bull's T-shirt coin purse, and lastly is a little 1995 Hallmark Spook House! (Ginny has some tiny (earring) figures that will go with this! teehee!

Well pardner, as suspected all the loot didn't fit on one scan, so another's a'comin'! Stay Tuned!

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 3:49am

Here I am again Diary! I have more to show you from our treasure hunting yesterday ... and I'm running out of time for today! The girls are saying we have to be quiet and get to sleep! But it's quicker to send stuff late at night and besides, I'll have more tomorrow! I'm glad I'm young but I'm beginning to wonder about Linda! She said she was five years old.

Now Becky, don't be eyeing the clown things. Linda says Ginny needs them in her circus and it's always somebody's birthday in the circus, right? We'll find somethin else for Fuzzy! Isn't the case of Pepsi a perfect size? ... somebody drank 9 bottles already! ... but what do you expect for a nickel!? ... the Ghost is a weighted blowup and it's by Dakin! how about that? Linda's always surprised when she finds something is by Dakin or Meritus! Kinda like she's drawn to them? The next item is a tin......it's decorated all over, inside and out! It's called "Ole Swimmin' Hole Tin" On the outside the characters are out of the water and on the inside, they are under water! On the bottom, 2 bunnies and a duck are having a picnic! How cute is that? :) Can you make out the two Mickey Mouse ice cube freezies? We got a package of 12 of them, 4 different colors. Linda is going to let the water out and give them stems so they are balloons for her Mouseketeer Ginnys! Yes, she said I may have one when I visit Linda's Disney
Mousekescene! Lastly is the wooden Easter egg with the cutout lamb on a stand! All of these things were a nickel or dime 'cept the Mickey Icees ... they were 25c for 12! (don't I wish we could buy multiples of everything!) But that's not how garage sales are.

Guess what? There is still more! Are you bored yet? Too bad ... cause it is still real neat stuff! Where people come up with it Linda can't say but you can't go to stores and just pick it up! Again, stay tuned!

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 4:23am

Oh gee whiz I couldn't fit the parasol from the garbage on here or the goodies from the candle ring but this stuff is better!

This (how do you know if it's really mink?) stole is soooooooo soft! and there is no moth ball smell, neither! and no holes! I checked! It is lady's size, of course and has a label from "Irving" Est. 1946 Kenosha, Wisconsin.  It even has pockets? did I know stoles had pockets? ... not! I love the block puzzle! It is gigantic for me, T. Ginny, but the pics are so vintage-ish! We don't see a maker name anywhere on the box (haven't looked at every side of every piece, yet) but the blocks are 1 1/2" cube and have a part of a farmyard picture on each side. I can tell there is a Rooster and chicken one and a Sheep one and a Cow one and Dog, too. The only
mark on the box is an ink stamp inside the bottom that is a bit smeary, but we think it says Germany and maybe 1967.

How about the log cabin! ? Would you believe it is to burn incense? Probably was a gift , cause it was never used. The starter incense of a campfire smell is still in a package inside with a paper insert. The cabin is 3 1/2" high by 4 1/2" long and 4" deep. Probably a souvenir from Montana?

Ginnylinda flipped out over the Looney Tune Christmas Russell Stover Candy Kitchen! Know why? Because she has a Looney Tune Christmas Tree! (and cause she loves RS candy, too, maybe?) The kitchen is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" with
Looney Tune characters looking out of every window, all with Santa outfits on ... and Taz is into the chocolates..BIG TIME! LOL

\This is sure fun reliving our garage sales ... but it's taking a bunch of time! I haven't even started with tellin you about the doll show or meetin Linda's granddaughters!

Love, T. Ginny

Dear Diary!
We went to Sandy's Dream Dolls in Glendale, Az. on Saturday, too! When we got there, we saw that there was a special event happening in Catlin Court that day, too! People were riding around in a horse-drawn white carriage and in the gazebo at Sandy's, children were getting free face paintings! We didn't have the time for that ... phooey! but we did have fun in Sandy's! (Ginnylinda says she always does!) When the ladies saw that we were there, they called Sandy to come and see us! They said she had been saving  something to give to Linda. . ooooh! a surprise!  Well, while we were waiting, we looked around the shop. Sandy's has everything! Fabrics and trims and handmade fancy dollclothes and babydolls, and bears and antique dolls and dollhouse dolls and Brus and just everything! and they are in displays everywhere! Since Sandy is Ginnylinda's friend, we started visiting the scenes! Our first stop was on a Mary Englebright shelf. So many colors! I wish you could see the whole 5 shelves! Can you find me in the flowerpot? It was fun to climb in there! And can you imagine how many yummy cookies that cookie jar could hold ... it's empty now, I peeked in. Sandy says she just can't resist having anything doll-related! ... even if it's just for a while before it's sold!

Mon Apr 2, 2001 6:24pm

I'm back Diary!
I have to tell you about lunch at Sandy's! Yes, that's right! Inside Sandy's! Grownups can't have lunch there. why real people can't even! ... but Ginnylinda and I did! Can you guess where? With a foreign flair, even! We went to lunch at Muffy's Bistro! Muffy talked so funny! And Mssr. Hoppy served us! How about that? Mmmmm was that grape juice good! It was in a fancy bottle, too! .... and there was the cutest poodle doggie that was ever-so-friendly! He was so soft! We couldn't read the menu, (it was in French) so T. Ginny just pointed to something on the 'Specials' board! Mmmmm it was good! And we had yummy French bread, too, of course! It was just the best lunch! I never expected to have a French lunch in Arizona!

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 6:24pm

I'm sure you wanna hear about this! We saw some antique dolls at Sandy's, too! And they were our size and a little smaller! They were kept in a closed up case, they were so special. We pressed our noses against the glass and talked about who they might have belonged to long ago. It was fun to imagine the fun those dollies had back then ... what fun they have together now (with so many people looking at them and who knows what they do at night? We know that's when some of the best times are!) I bet they are good friends! And someday they will be sold and have another life of experiences! Don't we love being dolls! I better go now, Diary. I want to show you another picture of what we played at Sandy's, too! Plus, we got our picture taken with Sandy! Yeah! Sandy, herself!

Here we are, Diary! At Sandy's Dream Dolls! and Sandy is holding us standing on the front porch of the store. Can you see the Easter decorations above the door? The store is really an historic church in what is called the Catlin Court District of Glendale, Arizona. Now the historic houses in this area are antique stores and gift stores, but still retain the charm of long ago! It is like a real old neighborhood. There are steps up the front of the store and there is a real cute gazebo in the yard, too. Sometimes she has musicians playing in the gazebo (like during the Ginny for President event last September) Sandy comes up with lots of fun ideas. She is such a fun lady! Why she loved the idea of what we are doing! She offered to take T. Ginny and Ginnylinda to the UFDC National Convention in August and share the fun with them! See how fun she is? :) She has a website at: www.sandysdreamdolls.com There! You can visit, too!

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 6:35pm

This was sure a fun day ... but it was getting to be a long day, too. While Linda was talking with Sandy, Ginnylinda and I thought of a game to play! Ever heard of 'Where's Waldo'? Well, we found a whole bunch of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls together Ginnylinda hid her eyes, while I got myself amongst some of them! Can you see me? There is a hint, you know! Now Ginnylinda is pointing at me! (not my idea of the right time to take the picture but ...) I bet it would have been a lot harder if I was a vivacious redhead! If you go to Sandy's website, you'll see she has a sale on the Presidential Ginnys now ... 40% off! www.sandysdreamdolls.com

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 6:36pm

Dear Diary!
Can you believe it? As if we didn't have enough planned for Saturday, there was a wedding being set up in the civic center where the doll show was. We asked a bridesmaid if we could please get our picture taken with the bride and groom. She said yes! So here we are! We wished them lots of luck and
hugged them very softly before we left! They were both very light and happy!

Love, T. Ginny

Mon Apr 2, 2001 6:37pm

Dear Diary,
Linda's place is part Ginnyland and part Mickey Mouseketeerland! Everybody is drawn to this giant velvet Mickey, so of course Ginnylinda showed me a Mickey our size, too! Oooooooooooh! so soft is he! ... and there are many more sizes around here, too! We'll be getting our picture taken with the Ginny and Alexander Mouseketeers this week sometime! In this pic are Alyssa, Hailey and Brittany with Big Mickey and me and Ginnylinda with little Mickey! (we are sitting on big Mickey's foot!) ... pssst ... both Mickeys are garage sale finds, Linda told me. Well! See you real soon!

Love, T. Ginny

Tue Apr 3, 2001 2:52am

Dear Diary!
We were bein kinda lazy today and silly ... looking over our loot again! We started trying on the costumes we bought from Nicole (at the yard sale) and they laughed and laughed at me! Linda's new Ginnette look-a-like (she got at the doll show) is wearing the clown suit, Ginnylinda wanted to be a reindeer and guess what I ended up being? What a trio we are! Linda thinks I need some stuffing inside this suit! Well, maybe I do, that would help when I fall down laughing! Ginnette Look-a-like keeps asking, "what does a reindeer say?" and Ginnylinda keeps saying, "Lose weight, Santa!!" ... probably cause Linda let us play with this santa sled and she has to pull us around ... and we covered ourselves with a snowy
sheet! Just a silly-nilly day!

Love, T. Ginny

Tue Apr 3, 2001 9:24pm

Dear Diary,
This was fun! Hailey, 4 years old, was showing me around Linda's doll cases! This is the one in the dining room where Hailey says she likes the bootiful ballerina in the bedroom the most! She sure is beautiful! She
is the FAO Ballerina from a few years ago! And there are lots of games to play and books to read in the bedroom, too!. we took Operation out and tried it! There is even a birthday party goin on ALL the time in this case! with balloons and presents and cakes and everything! Hailey whispered to me that I am lucky I am so little and can join all the Ginnys having fun. (she let her Granma, Linda, know that, too) Hailey was a bit shy about getting her picture taken, but I am so glad I will have it to remember this fun time with her! I love having new friends!

Love, T. Ginny

Thu Apr 5, 2001 3:43am

Ginnylinda, in three days I need some money!. I know you will have some for the garage sales, (to say nothin' of the doll show this Saturday!) but I wanna buy treasures, too! I think I can type.  Let's say "Beautiful 8" doll dress of the finest satins! Patriotic Blazing Red, Glorious White and Bold Blue! This vintage (uh...1986 or so?) frock was formerly owned by a very famous, worldly, dolly, T. Ginny! All accessories included ... red shoes, lacey slip, satiny matching blue panties, stockings
and a very striking red chapeau to top it off! Never laundered, original Vogue label intact! A tribute to the USA and crowning highlight of your collection!

There, do you think somebody will bite on that? Lots of stuff gets dumped on ebay! It's all in the 'pitch', they say! Here's hoping our first ebay try is a smash!

Love, T. Ginny

(psssst ... geeez ... I hope somebody bids. Jeanneine says 'Buy it Now' works! and it works FAST! Let's put it at ... uhhhhh ... $25!! Yeah, that's it! That way it sounds valuable! People might start emailin' us asking if we have more and more of these! Cross all your fingers 'n toes! ... now let's get to sleep! Night all! I'm gonna dream about how much nickel and dime stuff I can buy with $25!! It's a good thing those ebay bidders can't see us gigglin' over this silly dress! ... an' you know? I think it's growing on Linda! and she dresses US! We BETTER get it outta here!
