GEOCACHING - MY NEW HOBBY

What is Geocaching?

"Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache. "

This is a definition that you can find at the geocaching web page - www.geocaching.com. For me, it's a newly acquired hobby that I discovered thanks to my brother Fil, who is a caching enthusiast. I have a Garmin e-trex Summit GPS unit, and Im more than satisfied with it and would certainly recommend it to any geocaching beginner. It has a built-in compas, which is very useful, and cost only 200USD!

This is me with brother Fil and our dad with Ostrava Landek cache. It took us good half an hour to find and we almost gave up, but then dad wandered off a bit and found it about 20 m away from the place we were all looking around. And thats both of my brothers, Fil and Mike (Im behind the camera) with Prague Hvezda game park cache. Again, we were searching about 20 m off the location, and this time it was Mike who wandered off and found it. This is Travel Bug Bambi loves beer!! He is just about to taste the best Moravian beer Radegast, and sends all his love to Mom and Dad in the US!
