August 2002 - Pittsburgh, PA

We landed in the USA on August 11. It took a couple of days for us to find a home, and then we went shopping... a lot of shopping. Here is a tour of our new home:

This is a picture from the outside. Our house is the one on the right.

It is about 15 minutes walk from the Jewish Community Center where Maya's daycare is. However, judging by the descriptions of the winter around here - we are not going to walk this a lot...

Here is a view of our front porch.

If you walk around the house you get to our backdoor, that goes straight into the kitchen. There is an alley that goes behind the house and we even have a garage.

Now, let's go back to the front door, and inside...

On the right you find the living room, dining room, and in the back is the kitchen.

Up stairs there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Here is a view of Maya's room. You cannot see it in this picture, but she has a colorful border just below the ceiling. (Mom - don't worry, there is a net on the window so Maya cannot fall out).

Finally, we go out again to see our car. It is a 98 Plymoth breeze in very good condition.
