Sure, it is not
possible to ignore the Louvre or the
Orsay and the
Picasso Museum, but I strongly suggest you to visit the Marmottan, the
Orangerie, the Rodin
Museum, the Maillol
Museum ( a lot of interesting expositions of modern art), The Jaquemart-André Museum, and the Gustave Moreau
Museum, much more quiet and relaxing, and full of
artistic treasures. You have also to spend a day at the Beaubourg
Museum of modern art, Centre Pompidou. Also interesting are the Maison
de la culture Japonais" and the "Fondation
Cartier".
There are also a
lot of exhibitions all around the year, I strongly
suggest you to buy "l'Officiel des Spectacles"
or "PARISCOPE" (weekly, from Wednesday to Tuesday) for an exhaustive list of
all the expositions, with timetables and prices.
Remember
that a lot of museums can be visited with free admittance:

It's worth to
visit the new National Library Mitterand Tolbiac that, in
spite of polemics, is really interesting (visit the
Media-library) and the "Forum des Images", a
video-library with a lot of films and documentaries you
can search and individually preview, French authors in
preference.
Take a walk in the
old district of Marais, in the Jewish quarter of ghetto (
try the excellent Jewish restaurants and take-away, look
at where_to_eat ), and visit the parks: Tuleries,
Jardens Luxemburg, Bois de Boulogne and Bois de Vicennes(
take a look at the flower garden "Parc Floral",
in April - May there is the magnificent azaleas blooming
).
Visit also the
painter's and sculptor's studios in Bellville and in
other artist districts. This is the calendar of
