MERMAIDS
There are many tales from days of old of the beautiful women with the tails of fish that sat on rocks in the middle of the ocean and lured the sailors on passing ships with their siren songs. These songs were so enchanting that sailors often leapt to their doom. The mermaids took the sailors to their homes on the ocean floor and the sailors drowned. Scientists would have us believe that these creatures did not exist; that it was merely sex starved sailors having visions. They say that what the sailors REALLY saw was a sea cow (manitee) I will leave it up to you to decide for yourself which story you wish to believe.

They lured passing ships with song.

And were sad and bewildered when the sailors drowned.
We all know the story of the Little Mermaid as told by Hans Christian Anderson. A sad tale of a little mermaid who wanted to be human because she fell in love with one and of the pain that she suffered to do it. This tale tells us that we all would like to be something that we are not. The unattainable seems to be a challenge that we all strive to achieve. Mermaids are enchanting creatures of the watery depths where we, as humans, cannot easily venture. However, they hold an eternal fascination on our imagination. What if we COULD swim with the dolphins below the waves...............?
