Geoff Huegill




geoff Geoff was first noticed when he won the Monte Carlo Sprint series in Europe for the Australian team.

He was really recognised when he swam in the World short course Championship in Sweden in 1998.He was labeled as one of Australias next generation Swimming champions.

He also swam the 100m Butterfly leg in the 4 by 100m medly realy. He won a silver medal and his time was commonwealth Record time.

He swam in the worldSwimming Championships in January 1998 and was ranked 4th in the world for 100m butterfly.Hecame back with a bronze medal and a personal best!

Geoff was great in the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur where he won Gold in the Butterfly leg of the 4 by 100m medly relay.

In August 1999 Geoff won a silver medal behind Gold medalist Michael Klim at the Pan Pacific Championships in Sydney.

medal Geoff got Michael Klim back in the 100m butterfly finishing first in the Olympic Game Trials in May.

Geoff will swim the 100m butterfly at Sydney and is hoping to win gold.
He also won gold for 100m butterfly at the Telstra Trials, his time was 53.19 and was the 4th fastest in history.
