Montag is a very confused man.  Until Clarisse came along he thought he was happy with his job and in love with his wife.  He had a goal to legalize books.  He played the role of the person who usually does what is right but upon someone telling him that he was wrong, he changed his mind and did the unexpected.  Montag, like Clarisse, was against the system.  He didn't see what was right about burning down peoples houses.  He impacted society by letting them see that he would stand up for what he thought was right.  My opinion of Montag is he is kinda like me.  I don't always do what everyone else does but I am accepted.
