Oval Shape Face
This is the most versatile face. Many different styles will work for you, but no matter the length of your cut, you'll look best with layers near your cheekbones, lips or chin -- basically whatever feature you want to highlight.
Styles that are super hot now: Choppy bobs, long waves and shoulder-skimming shags.
Celebs who share your face shape: Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Jada Pinkett Smith
Avoid: Short layers that add height on top of your head. This will make your face appear long. If your hair is thick or curly, avoid a blunt cut. You'll look like a pyramid.
Tools you can't live without: A great curling iron and flat iron to create waves and straighten your sleek locks.

Layered cuts are perfect.

Hair with spiky bangs is great. This photo is perfect for oval face shapes because the cut shows off the cheekbones and chin. The spike effect is downplayed, too much spike is NOT good on an oval face shape. It gives the illusion of length.
Bangs are totally hot.

Hair too long - Here, you see how hair that's just too long not only overwhelms an otherwise pretty face, but drags it down. While there are few hard and fast rules in beauty, we think few women can get away with hair this long. Gwyneth also makes a faux pas here with her roots. While dark roots were trendy for like 5 seconds last year, they were never gorgeous.
