-Plot Summary-

An executive (Dave Foley) becomes angered when someone else gets a promotion that he feels he deserves. He walks into his office to give him a piece of his mind, only to discover him dead. Naturally, he panics and decides that everyone will assume that he is the murderer. So he runs away to Mexico only to come head-to-head with the real murderer, and also the police chasing him.

Won a Film Showcase Jury Award for "Best Screenplay."
Policemen #1-5 in the credits are Dave Foley's favorite band, the Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies.
Disney shelved "The Wrong Guy" with the fear that it would not make them any money. It was not released at all in the US and only on video in Canada. It is, currently, in the Disney vaults until Disney execs decide that the movie is good enough and will generate a high enough viewer response to be released.
