| Meet our girls who have earned the Bronze Award. |
| Jennifer: Jennifer's Project was PAWS Animal Rescue. She designed a flier asking for donations of food, snacks and toys for the animals. She spoke about her project at our Leaders Meeting and distributed enough fliers for every girl in our Service Unit. Jennifer also helped PAWS with Pet Adoptions at the local Pets Mart by talking to people and helping with the animals. Jennifer collected all of the donations and delivered them to PAWS. Jennifer earned the Wildlife and Leadership Badges, The Junior Aide Patch and the Sign of the Sun to complete the Badge Requirements. |
| Meghan: Meghan's Project was the local Animal Shelter. Meghan made kitten sock toys and spent several hours bathing and getting to know the dogs. When a customer would ask about a dog or cats personality Meghan could answer from first hand experience. Meghan learned how to give shots and how to answer the questions from the public. She also organized all of the adoption paperwork for the shelter. Meghan earned the Pet Care and Leadership Badges, The Junior Aide Patch and the Sign of the Sun to complete the Badge Requirements. |
| Tessa: Tessa's project was to build a picnic table for our Scout House Property. Tessa found the building plans on the internet but she and her dad had to modify them slightly. Tessa spoke with the manager of Home Depot for advise and for donations. She and her dad spent much more than the required 15 hours just building the table. Tessa painted the picnic table Girl Scout Junior Green and will deliver it to the property this week. Tessa earned the Ms Fit It and the Do-It-Yourself Badges, The Sign of the Rainbow and the Lead On plus Girl Scouting in my Future Badges to complete the requirements. |
| Sarah I: Sarah's project was to design and implement a food drive to benefit local food pantries. She designed and distributed fliers in her neighborhood and church. Sarah made presentations to the adult and childrens classes at her church. She also did a door-to-door drive in close by neighborhoods. Sarah helped clean and straighten shelves in the pantry and helped distribute the food. Sarah earned the Food Power and the A Healthier You Badges, The Sign of the Rainbow and the Lead On plus Girl Scouting in my Furture Badges to complete the requirements. |
| Rachel: Rachel's Project was the local Animal Shelter. Rachel made toys for both the dogs and cats plus spent several hours bathing and getting to know the animals. Rachel helped clean up the animals living areas to help make their lives better and took the dogs for walks. Rachel gave the kittens and adult cats some much needed love. She also answered questions from the public and showed animals. Rachel earned the Pet Care and Wildlife Badges, The Sign of the Rainbow and the Lead on plus Girl Scouting in my Furture to complete the Badge Requirements. |
