Adoption is a subject very near and dear to my heart. I was adopted at birth, by an awesome mother and father. I was very lucky, because obviously they provided me with what I might never have had from my biological mother. However, as nearly any other adoptee knows, there's always that curiosity, that insatiable appetite to find out more about where you came from. Yes, I struggled with that for years. When my first child was born, I decided I needed to search. I wanted medical information, first and foremost. But then, I needed to know WHY she gave me up, WHO she was, HOW she was now, WHAT her life was and is like, and WHERE she was all this time. And so back then, (nearly 10 years ago) I began a search. I did find my biological mother, and couldn't be happier about that. I love her dearly, but if I gained ANYTHING from the search, it was to realize the difference in the life I could have had, opposed to the life I DO have. I did find out the circumstances surrounding my relinquishment, and it gave me a MUCH better sense of who I am. It answered hundreds of questions I'd had since I was so very young. And has blessed me with two VERY awesome mother's. Diverse women, from different backgrounds, each adding more than they will ever know to my life! I have two families now, and it's better than I imagined it ever could be. On these pages, you will learn more about my search, my reunions, and see pictures. You will also gain information that might be helpful to you in YOUR search. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions, or comments, or anything you find informative! This is nothing but a place for me to have a sounding board, where I can just say what I feel and what I know. I know I am loved, times two. That's pretty lucky if you ask me. It has brought me closer to my adoptive family, and given me another family to get to know, and love. I wish you the best of luck in your search!!
