![]() Chelsea striker Jan Huntelaar has promised to fight for his place at the club despite being dropped and being linked with a big money move to D1 rivals Newcastle United and a loan move to former club Middlesbrough The former Ajax ace has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, mainly down to the form of both Robinho and Italian star Francesco Totti. He was prolific at Middlesbrough prior to his 20,000,000 move to West London. The Dutchman has hit 29 league goals in his career, including 5 in the GI Cup. There were suggestions that he could be sent back to Middlesbrough on loan, in an attempt to recapture his old form but this claim has been denied by Martin O'Neill. There are now rumours that Newcastle United could be set to pounce but after signing Fernando Torres from Tottenham, it now seems unlikely that Jose Mourinho will move for another striker. |
