CISSE DENIES SPURS LINK

Preston North End striker Djibril Cisse has rejected rumours linking him with a move to Tottenham, saying hes happy to remain at Deepdale.
Speculation is rife that Spurs are keen to add another striker to their squad to partner Thierry Henry. One name that is doing the rounds is Nicolas Anelka but now, another Frenchman, Djibril Cisse is being linked with a big money move to White Hart Lane. The former Marseille star has been on good form for The Lilywhites this season and in an interview with the GI Times, he stated his desire to remain with the club, saying he owes manager Mario Been for having faith in him. Cisse has also urged strike partner James Beattie to remain at the club, after he was linked with a move away.
MIDO SEALS LYON MOVE

Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyonnais have swooped to sign Egyptian star Mido, in an £8,000,000 deal from D2 side Preston North End.
The striker returns for his second spell in France, having already had a stint with Marseille a few years ago. He started his GI career with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Coventry City in an £8,000,000 deal. After a reasonably successful spell at the Ricoh Arena, he sealed a £5,000,000 move to Preston North End. The player never really settled in the north west and was eager for a return to France, after hearing of the interest shown in him by Lyon boss Paul Le Guen.
