GI STARS MEET INDOMITABLE LIONS
The new class of '09 Team GI have made the trip to Africa to take on Cameroon at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde. After announcing the 24-man provisional squad last week, the revised, final 16-man squad has been announced for the match.
Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will start and will captain the side. Infront of him is a back four of Sergio Ramos, Wes Brown, Michael Dawson and Patrice Evra.
The midfield boasts Liverpool newboy Cristiano Ronaldo, Dutch winger Arjen Robben, Middlesbrough stalwart Xabi Alonso and Reading ace Samir Nasri.
In attack, vice captain Thierry Henry will partner Coventry City hitman Jermain Defoe. Joe Hart, Carles Puyol, Stewart Downing, Sidney Govou and Preston star Djibril Cisse will start on the bench for TGI. |
