TEVEZ STAYING UP

West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez has come out to deny rumours linking him with a monster £52,000,000 move to Barcelona.
The United skipper told the GI Times that he was enjoying life at Upton Park and feels the club are moving in the right direction. The Argentine international has previously been linked with big money moves to both Real Madrid and Chelsea, but both stories proved to be pure speculation. For the time being, the former Boca Juniors star will be staying in East London, hoping to win a long overdue piece of silverware with The Hammers.
BARCA CLOSE ON TEVEZ

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola claims a deal is close to bring West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez to the Camp Nou. The Argentine, who has been heavily linked with a move to rivals Real Madrid, has previously stated his intent to remain at Upton Park.
The revelation by Guardiola is sure to anger United manager Marcello Lippi, who is desperate to keep hold of his star player. According to reports, Barcelona have agreed a fee of around £52,000,000 for the player, a deal that would make him the most expensive player in GI Soccer history. Tevez would also be the highest paid player in world football, earning a reported £11,500,000 a year. The player himself has distanced himself from the speculation, saying hes happy to stay in London and loves playing for West Ham. Theres no wonder why hes in demand, Tevez has bagged 50 league and cup goals for The Hammers during their GI tenure.
