My name is Gary Dresher, I live in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. I decided to give this a whirl to see what a "presence on the web" would bring.
I've been carving wood for about 20 years now and it is something I enjoy doing in my spare time. It brings great satisfaction to see the work progress from a block of wood to something with shape and form, that with Gods good grace looks like what it is suppose to when finished.
Recently I have been carving(or engraving) on glass and mirrors. This too has brought some great results. This is not etching, which is done with acid, the process is done with a tool that "scratches" a drawing on the surface of the glass.
Anything with glass can be worked on. Just to name a few: gun cabinets, kitchen cabinets, front doors with windows, vehicle windows, or plaques for a special occasion. Some wood products: fireplace mantles, cabinet doors. You could have a combination of both. The sky is the limit.
