The 64 Movements of Kuang Ping Tai Chi Chuan
This page lists the 64 movements of the Kuang Ping (a.k.a. Guang Ping) Yang
Tai Chi Long Form. I have documented them here because I just have not been
able to find a lot of information on the form's movements elsewhere, and have
taken it upon myself to save it for my daily practice.
Warm Ups
You should always warm up before performing any exercise, and Tai chi is no different.
Here is a list of recommended exercises:
- Ankle and Knee Rotations
- Waist Rotations
- Hip Rotations
- Side Stretches
- Shoulder Rotations
- Forward Bend
- Backward Bend
- Chin to Toe Stretch
- Inner Thigh Stretch
- The Bear
I will provide further documentation and descriptions of these exercises in
a later update of this page.
The Movements
The following is a list of the 64 movements which have been broken down into
three sections as they were taught to me. Some of the names listed do not
match the exact names used by my sifu, however, I believe that they translate
to the same thing. I will correct them in future editions of this page as
time permits. Each movement, in reality, is a series of movements (to be
explained later).
