My Theory on why Sliders has changed over the seasons

As you know, Season 1 and 2 are the only season's that have episodes like: As Times Goes By, Luck Of Draw. Worlds that were like our world, cell phones, nice cars. The only differences were alternate history, which made the show seem not so out of this world, but interesting. Some people go so far as saying that season 1 and 2 are the "Roots" of Sliders. But why did it changed when season 3 came around? And why did it stay like that, and get worse in season 4? Well I have a theory on why Sliders got from "Alternate History" to "Out of this world" to "science fiction" Here is my theory. Lets say we have a map of all the paralleled worlds. (see picture A1) Now all of the worlds around Earth Prime are almost exactly like Earth Prime, But with little different changes. As the more you drift away from Earth Prime, The more the changes get worse and worse. Thus giving a more BIG change to the worlds you go to. Now as our Sliders started to drift away from Earth Prime, they got to the point were things got out of hand. In season 3, our Sliders were on the edged of the whole area of Earth Prime like worlds. They were drifting farther and farther away from the area of the worlds that were like earth prime. That's why you got worlds like "DragonSlide" and "Desert Storm" and "The Dream Masters" and "The Prince of Slides" where people still have nice cars, and cell phones, but everything else is just plain weird! Then it got even worse with other worlds were there seem to be no more worlds with just plain alternate history. Just weird worlds with maybe a little alternate history here and there. But mostly just "Oh my god! A monster! Lets run!" slowly it went back to it's roots in season 5. With episodes like "Java Jive" and "A Current Affair" "Applied Physics" and "New Gods For Old" and of course, "The Return of Maggie Beckett" It seems as if Sliders had sledded back into the Earth Prime area. Sounds like a neat theory huh? (Picture A2, shows you how things change as you drift farther and farther away from "Earth Prime")
