faerielands

Canopied green
Of secreted worlds
Upon misted breath,
Waiting in red-desert hearts,
Dancing in forested dreams
And waking from sea-spun arms...
Escaping me,
Like a sigh of stars-
Like the whisper of petals...
In tiny kisses
Over my skin,
Coming down in warming rain
Filling my eyes
With moments of bliss.
Creating a crack in the sky
Where the twilight bleeds
The moon into sun,
The color into motion.
One, quick glimpse of forever
From the plateau-
From the iridescent storm
In its sweeping steps
That dance clean the shores
To form midnight beginnings
With the unrestful rhythm
Of the worlds inside,
Beating against the glass;
Lingering in me...
Insistent winds
Pushing me when I seek stillness;
Laughing when I tumble
Into a motion of my own,
When I slept for ages,
Following a dream
That others call life...
Awakening me
To the secrets in my soul-
Quiet and green;
Red and untamed...
Soothing, roiling,
Alive from ages past,
And yet as new as spring...
