GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY  Sring 2002
Whenever there is a new housing development or an industrial site, or any new development where more taxes will be collected. You can be sure there will be a ground breaking ceremony. All the important people behind the new project will be there, plus local state or country officials. Our Heavenly Father also has ground breaking ceremonies, with all the important people and the local,state and empire officials there too. Turn in your bibles to Matthew 27 verses 45 to 52. Here we see that there was a ground breaking and hell breaking ceremony that took place when our Lord Jesus died on Calvary's Cross. Three days later another ground breaking ceremony took place when Jesus rose from the dead turn to Matthew 28 verses 1 and 2. When the Lord Jesus returns and sets His feet on the Mount of Olives, there will be such a ceremony taking place that I cannot just call it ground breaking but Earth Breaking Ceremony that will take place on that day. Turn in your bibles to Zechariah chapter 14 verses 1 to 5 and Revelation chapter 16 verse 19. What about you what shakes you? Have you asked Jesus to come into your heart to stay and to save. Is Jesus your Lord and Saviour? Where are you going to spend eternity when you leave your earthly home? Jesus is the only way to the Heavenly Home. Jesus can do some heartbreaking in your heart as Saviour now!! Or Jesus will break your heart as Judge then!! It's your choice. CHOOSE JESUS NOW!!

End of the Road?
Living in a large North American city like I do, you would most probably come to a street with no way out "Dead End". If you are an automobile driver then you would look for a sign that tells you that the street you are on is a "Dead End". Well God has given us many signs but the most important is the sign of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus the one who calls out to you and tells you to follow His road, His way. There are many roads (turn to Matthew 7:13-14) but all of these roads lead to destruction and death, separation from Jesus. Jesus said in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." What road are you on? If you are not following Jesus then you are on the wrong road. A road that leads you to a "DEAD" End!  Get on the highway of holiness and choose Jesus today. Remember, my God allows U-turns. Turn your life around and choose the living road today.

One, Two, Three Ready or Not Here I Come !

What a fun game this was to play.  I remember finding the best places, like hiding behind a tree or a bush.  Most of the time I was not found and was able to win.  This game reminds me that some peoples' lives are like this towards God.  They hide things in their life from their spouse, their children or their close friends but you can be sure we cannot hide from God. Turn to your Bible to Luke 12:2.
You've heard the expression "You can run but you cannot hide".  What about you?  What are you hiding?  One day it will be revealed.  You can be truthful now and be at peace or you can choose to run and hide - I hope you "... choose you this day whom you will serve" (Joshua 24:15).

Consider this thought.  As humans we plan the future according to what we know in the present!  However, we should plan our future according to God who holds the future!  Which brings me to the Bible passage found in 2Kings 1:1-4.  People are like this evil King Ahaziah son of Ahab.  They want to know what is going to happen tomorrow but they ask the wrong people or in Ahaziah's case the wrong god.  What about you?  What are you enquiring about?  What are your goals, what are you seeking?  Turn in your Bible to Luke 12: 42-44.  Therefore, be ready and do the work required now for you already know what the future has in store for you.

New Plans for a New Year

How  many of us make plans for the new year only to see them fall to a lack of self-discipline?  "I'm going to lose weight!" ...you gain weight.  "I'm going to get my-self in shape by exercising!"  But the only exercise you find is surfing ...channel surfing!  What about this one, "I'm going to spend more time with my family or loved ones!"  But you only find yourself overworked, tired, and edgy.  So what do you do?  Do you wait until next year to make the same resolution with the only difference being the year?  Did you know God has plans for you?  As some of you know from the book of Jeremiah 29:11-13, God wants to Prosper you, give you Hope and a Future!  Not just to receive eternal life when we leave this world ...but meaningful and victorious living now!  Not just in 2004 ...but today, right now!  How many of you out there are looking for purpose in your life, looking for a good plan to follow that will give you true results and true meaning.  Something bigger than a new year's resolution!  Something that's going to make a difference.  Well we have to listen to the voice of God that is calling us to open the door of our heart.  Most of you feel that it is a time for change, a time to seek something different.  Don't mistake that feeling as a time for a career change.  No it's not an urge for you to join the next multi-level pyramid tele-marketing scheme or to put more money in your retirement savings. It's not your heart's prompting to move on in life to leave your husband, wife or children.  It's the knocking of God's Holy Spirit ready to reveal the testimony of Christ giving you access to administer freedom to every part of your life.  True eternal freedom that was bought with a price and is freely given to anyone who is not offended by the name of
Messiah ...his name is The Lord Jesus Christ!

Are You in the will of God?

Many Christians ask this question at some point in their walk, "Am I doing what God has called me to do?"  Dont be fooled!  More than anything, God wants His children to be in the flow of His will.  Very simply put, without any worry or burden, we must be obedient (I John 5:3; I Samuel 15:22,23)!  And when we talk about obedience we talk about two very important things: Knowledge & Faith.
We cant please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), and we cant have faith unless we have an object to put our faith in.  The main object of our faith is Jesus Christ.  In, through, and by Him, only, can we know God.  Not just to know about God, but to know Him intimately, personally (the same know, as a man knows a woman).  By knowing God we can gain knowledge (Proverbs 1-; James 1:1-8).
Once again Faith & Knowledge is the key to being in God's will, knowing your calling, and knowing what you are supposed to do as a sojourner here on earth.  Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God."  Remember faith has to have an object, in this case it's the word of God (knowledge).  Hearing is a medium by which the knowledge can come, but we all know that knowledge can come by other mediums such as seeing and reading.  How can we know God's will for us, specifically?
1- Abide in His word, the bible (daily); 2- focus/ meditate on the teachings of Jesus; 3- Spend time in prayer (daily); 4- Listen to the Holy Spirit; 5- Spend time in Christian fellowship (regularly).  These activities will thrust you into a intimate fellowship with God and through this fellowship you will receive the object of your faith ...a fulfilling, meaningful life!
