Aaliyah Facts - Aaliyahs song "Try Again" earned her a germany nomination this year for for the best female R&B vocalist. - In 1996,she released her second album and single " If your Girl Only Knew" went double platinum! - Aaliyah made her feature acting debut in laste years film "Romeo Must Die" and was signed on to appear in two sequels to the high-tech thriller "Matirx". - Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born on january 16,1979 in Brooklyn. - Haughton Family Statement - August 26,2001 new York, NY Aaliyahs family is devasted at the loss of their loving daughter and sister.
