I. O. University was an occasional comic strip that I drew in the 1999-2000 school year for my campus newsrag... I mean, paper. Below are my favorite strips from my brief days as a freelance cartoonist. They're pretty stupid, but remember that I've spared you from the worst of the bunch. The artwork is bad by my current standards, but that's okay because all of the artwork on the Glarryg Pages will look awful to me within a year.

I never really made up names for the characters; they were just "The Kid With The Hat" and "The Other Kid." (There was also "Girl In The University Sweater," but she's not in any of these.) Maybe my lack of a real connection with them is what made the IOU gang fail as a comic strip ensemble. Or maybe it was the fact that I got sick of reading the paper and didn't want my work in it any more. Hmmmmm... Anyway, here they are.

• Beer-- Around St. Patrick's Day that year, a well-known group of animal rights lobbyists tried to get people to stop drinking milk by starting the hilarious "Got Beer?" campaign. This was my reply.
