Edinburgh G8 Summit Activity
At April's branch
meeting , it
was agreed by Edinburgh Branch,we would be at the Mayday Marches in
Glasgow andEedinburgh that we would hold a public meeting on
the
theme of the G8 summit. Speaker and title to be announced .
It will be 3pm to 5pm on the Sunday 3rd July ,
day after the protest march against poverty in Edinburgh , and
will be at the Quakers Friends
Meeting House in Victoria Terr .
The plan is that we
intend to
have a literature table at the march on Saturday , circulate and
sell
Standards , and also distribute a special leaflet ( content to be
decided ) which will advertise Sunday's meeting .
This is an
early call for
all volunteers to make themselves available and just to generally
spread the word to family , friends and colleagues and to the little
old lady who lives down the street .
Any other further plans
for the
G8 summit will be discussed and decided closer to the time . This is an image of the election Leaflet we will be distributing.
