Armati Nationals - Glasgow 2004 -

2004 was a cracking year for Glasgow's round of the Armati Natinals, and that's not just because Phoenix won all three prizes (want to win a tournament? organise it yourself!)

Sadly, we were so busy focussing on the competition ourselves, that we forgot to take any notes of the games themselves. This round was noticable for an appearance in Scotland of French Armati stalwart, Vincent Auger, who had thehardest game of the round, when he drew 100 years English, against 100 years French!

Last years opening round Scots v English round was repeated, and noticably this tie, the 'Bannocburn' scenario was won by the Scots each game, this despite the new edition of Armati rules clearly favouring the English! This image, shows the English foot being outflanked by a Scots shiltron, which found itself entirely unopposed on one flank!
