POETRY

Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll.
[she being brand] by e.e. cummings.
The Perfect High by Shel Silverstein.
I heard this first from a ripe young vagabond playing a 12-string guitar. He resembled Aron in that he had long brown hair and didn't shower much. He was living in a van which had previously been parked in Vermont and New York City.

FICTION

The Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostoevsky
This is the whole damned book -- translated by Constance Garnett. If you're not into reading the whole thing, I highly recommend this chapter... The Grand Inquisitor.
