------------------------------------------------

The files in this archive are to support a Linux port of the
of the 8243 based EEPROM (E^2) programmer found at http://www.irobot.org/eep
The original design by Chris Courson (chris@irobot.org) is implemented for
DOS in QBASIC.

8243-IO.txt
A description of the 8243 which I scrounged up on the net.
The part is readily available from supply houses such as Jameco. However,
there does not seem to be a spec sheet available.

8243-programmer.htm, schem.gif,
Copy of Chris Courson web content which describes original programmer design.

eeprom.c
My C-sourcecode for Linux port of E^2 programmer.

eep.sch, eep.brd
Schematic and PCB layout files I created in Eagle (www.cadsoft.de to
download non-commercial licensed Eagle software at no charge). However,
I recall that the board is not completed and I believe is wired
incorrectly from the parallel port. I never etched a board, one,
I built it on generic protoboard.

  out the thing on all-purpose
