Glenswilly 3-9   v   Burt 2-8
GLENSWILLY capured the Under 14 Division 3 title after a 4 points win over Burt in Ballbofey on Saturday.
A strong second half performance from the 'Glen' side secured their won after the team had gone in level at half time. For the winners midfielder and team captain Aidian McDevitt was impressive at midfield while other to catch the eye included Gary McFadden, Michael Murphy and Mark McGowan.
For the losers midfielder Joesph Boyle, Rory Grant Conor McLaughlin and Brain Sheerin were the best on the day.
Burt gor off to a flying start with tw0 points in the early stages before Glenswilly opened there account with a point from a free kick by Michael Murphy. Burt hit with 4 points without reply midway through the first half but scores from Adian McDevitt and Mark McGowan left the sides level at the interval.
Two points in the early stages of the second half from McDevitt and Kevin Cunningham put Glenswilly in the lead but it was short lived as Burt replied with a goal to put them ahead.
However the never say die attiude of the Glenswilly side was shown when McDevitt scored a fine individual goal and two points from Gary McFadden put them back in front.
Burt hit back with a goal but a point from Murphy and a well taken goal by Gary McFadden and a point from the same player secured their win.
