The Dilemma of Disobedience

(Granger for Lady Godiva): You may ask, does a High-soul ever become evil or rebellious in its purpose, sending out personalities with evil or error in the intent of the soul? We, of The Auroral People, are of the firm belief that no soul ever does, or would deviate from the high purpose of The Source of Life. We believe that at that high level, the infantile concept of disobedience to The Source of Being is incomprehensible. We believe the mind of a High-soul is far beyond this form of crooked thinking. Now then, you say, that may be very fine for The Auroral People in the spirit world, but what about the earth-life where great and terrible efforts are thrust into evil ways to inflect great suffering and death on thousands ...yes, millions of others?

We observe the devastation and acts of horror in the earth, and this is what we believe: whenever the mind of man chooses to enter into disharmony; to go into crooked ways brought on through greed, desire for power, or jealousy we believe, in fact we are very sure, that the High-soul of that personality does not support the chosen path. No High-soul will agree to obstruct in any way the well being of the personalities or purposes of any other High-soul. There are high laws that do not allow this to happen. When a personality, of its own free will, strikes out in crooked or evil ways, the soul will allow the freedom of choice, but eventually every tithe and tittle of harm done to any other person must be repaid and returned. Very well, you say, for the man who robs his neighbour of a few dollars or steals some property, but what of the "Hitler" or the monster who robs and rapes and ravages the earth destroying millions of lives?

The sight of wretched conditions in the earth, caused by the dilemma of a person who refuses to recognize the High-soul's direction and guidance, is a tragic experience indeed. We need to understand the depth of this tragedy. The cause of this unfortunate situation is in the mind of the personality, the will of the person that has chosen to strike out on its own without recognition of the High-soul's purpose. This condition is confined to the individual personality, who will always seek out the minds of those other personalities in the earth that will support the ravaged mind.

When the mind of a Hitler (we will use that name because of its world-wide connotations) begins to rebel at its own life-pattern and purpose, it has great power and energy to move off and out on its own, independent of the High-soul. The High-soul will never cut off the personality however. One day, in some plane of life, that personality must return to its soul's original pathway. The personality must restore all damage done and place back into order all destruction left in its wake. This seems to be a horrendous undertaking, and indeed it is, but it must be done. Anything taken from any other personality or person, or from the purpose of any other High-soul must be restored. This law is of the universe. and of all life in all planes of being. There is no way around this law. There are those of high authority who will see to it that all is returned to order. Great damage has been done in the meantime. Other pathways in the earth have been destroyed or obstructed. The earth is left in turmoil. We wonder how so many manage somehow to straighten out the pathways knocked aside. But life will go on. Let us examine now the next phase of life for those responsible for this havoc.

First off, there is no recompense; there is no trade-off to escape the responsibility for the damage done. Such a person does not walk over to a penalty-box in heaven and say, "I am sorry," and walk away. All deeds, all acts, all thoughts, all energy-patterns are still there. They still exist. They are cast in real life form, like a movie that will not stop running. "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." This statement is misunderstood by many in the earth. It is taken as an escape, a way out, as a ceasing of existence. It does not mean that; it simply means that to sin or rebel against the High-soul is not in harmony with life, and that the rebellion must cease to exist; the rebellion must come to nothing ...the wrong done must cease to exist; it must die. It will die because that is a universal law. [This statement, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die", is from the Ezekiel 18: 4, and again in Ezekiel 18:20, in reproval of the unjust parable of sour grapes, which taught that the sons carried the iniquity of the fathers.]

Remember that in the spiritual state the deeds, the acts, the attitudes expressed in life on earth are, in very real terms, a living reality that must be encountered 'and dealt with, thought by thought, deed by deed, act by act, intent 'by intent, until the entire lot has been removed. Those who destroyed other lives in the earth will repay the debt to those same lives in the life after, until the entire lot is removed. This is almost incomprehensible to the mind on earth, but it needs to be understood.

As to the nature of the condition or situation in which the one who wrecks havoc in the earth may find himself or herself following physical death, let me say this: there is no way around this situation; what is taken must be replaced ...paid back ...restored. No one may run up a debt against the well-being of another without recompense. Just because the debt is to many persons and vast, relieves no one of the responsibility. Let us discuss the process of clearing the debt.

If the one to whom the damage is done is available, and the personality (person) owing the debt is ready to begin the task of repayment, there will be an arrangement set up by those who control the balances between souls. The arrangement may be to provide service in ways suitable for the development of that one damaged, in relationship to the purposes set out originally for that personality by its High-soul. The soul's purpose, in every instance, will be achieved and further development given. The arrangement, for example, may be for a group of renegades, deviates, or terrorists, as the case may be, who were responsible for the untimely physical death, or obstruction through control, such as imprisonment of large groups of people in the earth, to provide a facility which may be used in the training and development of those restricted. This arrangement will continue to exist until that which has been taken away has been given back.

If the renegade, the degenerate, the murderer, is so negative and so filled with the intense heat of hatred or twisted beyond redemption, that mind may remain in that state for a very long time before it is possible to begin the repayment of the debts. This is not a state to be desired by anyone, not ever. Much better that those in this situation could see the terrible plight of their condition and begin the movement upward by accepting the responsibility for the damage done.

Sometimes the victim is of a set of mind so intense in its desire for revenge that it cannot accept the benefit of the assistance offered. The evil may be compounded when both sides have contributed to the situation. The woman who has made life in the earth a living hell for her husband is no less guilty of her act just because her husband one day became enraged and chopped off her head. He, the husband, is responsible for his act, but the lady of the house is responsible for her conduct also. These two minds must come to the point of comprehension, each of his or her own error, and mutually understand the need to remove the debt before the healing and restoring process can begin to take place.

There is very little that can be done anywhere, in earth or beyond, with a closed mind. An eye that will not open cannot see; a mind that will not open cannot comprehend. You of the physical earth must develop, implement and execute your own social laws; no doubt about it, they are necessary. And it is not the intent of.The Auroral People to tell you how to conduct your society; nevertheless, we need to point out the terrible dilemma created by the physical act of capital punishment. Be aware of the implications of sending a sick and revengeful, a cold and hateful mind into the next life. Much better indeed if somehow you could gain free entrance to that mind until it comprehended the nature, the meaning, and the purpose of life ...and the need to pay back the debt, all over again, after the debt of physical punishment.

Believe me when I say that those who teach, and preach, and educate, to brainwash others out of a closed mind may be doing far more damage in the earth-Iife than the one who commits cold murder. The mind that is closed on earth may remain closed after physical death and reinfect the minds back on earth for very long times (in physical terms) following physical death.

When we say that the debt of damage or harm rendered to another must be paid and replaced, we need to understand that this is more in the nature of repayment of the debt rather than a form of punishment. Always, the mind of The Source desires the restoration of that which has gone astray; the recovery of that which has dropped-out or appears to be lost. In the mind of The Source there is no desire to render "an eye for an eye" in the sense of revenge. The concept of "hell-fire-and-brimstone" as punishment was created out of the mind of man rather than out of the mind of God. The human mind still loves the idea of "sock- it-to-them" in punishment to others. I can tell you that concept comes out of a deep-seated lack of development in the physical human emotion rather than out of any high spirit mind.

Now be assured of this: "God is 'not mocked"; that is a true statement. "You reap what you sow"; that is a true statement. In these statements, however, understand the great unity, the great orchestra of harmony, the great sea of loving consciousness out of which they are made. God, The Mind, The Source by whatever name, did not and does not create life to punish and destroy it.

Consciousness, once formed cannot be destroyed; equally true, conscious awareness is not punished per se. The idea is to restore to the elements of life that which was taken away in error, falsely, or with unethical desires. The point of all this process is to restore all things to where the patterns of being intended them to be. There is nothing to be gained out of a source of consciousness inflicting punishment upon its own elements. When you have a diseased member or organ of your physical body you attempt (I trust) to restore it to normal health.

You do not try to punish it because of the pain it caused you. If a certain area of your mind is out of harmony with normal life, the idea is to get it back into harmony, not to punish it for going out of order or harmony. Why then would God desire to punish those of His own elements of being because they have gone on a diseased rampage, or got out of harmony with the high mind of spirit? How much more hell-fire do you require than to find that you have long, tedious tasks of effort to restore the damage done to others in the earth-life? Surely that is all the hell-fire and brimstone any spirit needs to contend with.
