The Stream of Life and ESP

(Granger): The High-soul provides a constant stream of energy into the human mind. The mind processes the energy through the brain into the physical senses. After this process, the brain will produce many forms of thought-patterns that are subject to the brain's native ability, knowledge, and training. You see, therefore, the more you develop and train the brain in thought-processes, the more capable it is of using the information from the soul and the mind.

We would like to explain a little more about the nature of this flow of energy from the soul into the personality or the mind. The energy flow is referred to often as the lifeline or the silver cord. It follows the mind wherever it (the mind) may be; it keeps the mind and personality in contact with the High-soul. It never separates from the High-soul or from the personality; not before, during, or after, physical life. It is the essence of life through which the personality lives and knows of its relationship to the soul. It will survive through all time and space. It is not subject in any way to time or space; it flows as an everlasting stream of energy. The flow is both ways ...like a stream flowing in two directions. This is a very beautiful scene, believe me, to see the streams of life and consciousness flowing from a High-soul out to all of its personalities at the same time. No boredom here, you may be sure of that.

This circuit of consciousness, also known as the stream of life, is a very vital element. A number of functions are performed by this life-flow. All the knowledge of the soul that has meaning for the personality is available through this stream. Awareness flows both ways; all the learning, effort, problems, and other aspects of earth-life from the personality flow through this stream to the soul. At all times each High-soul is aware of each one of its personalities.

Other functions are performed through this stream or channel. It is the way through which the process known on earth as ESP is passed along from one personality to another. ESP is a normal and natural process; it was always intended to be used by persons on the earth. There is a similar process used by animals on earth, but in a slightly different way. Let us continue here with the human form of ESP. Physical channels between persons in the earth are not necessary to communicate. However, when the brain developed to a certain level of ability to think and reason, and the capacity for abstract thought developed, the human mind began to overlook the ability to communicate by ESP.

The process by which ESP works is not simple; it is indeed very complex. The communication is through the life flow, or the channel. The channel is primarily a stream of energy flowing from the personality to the soul as we described, but it can be directed also, at the will of the personality, to some other person or place. Whenever it is directed to a place of some distance, the channel gives the personality a "birdseye view" of that place, and of what is happening. It will record all energy and vibration in the surrounding area related to its own interests ...the interests of the personality. It will not recognize any vibration or energy of no interest to the personality. When the observation has been completed, the channel will return to the personality, and the communication is then completed. There is no residual contact once the communication has been withdrawn.

The ESP channel of communication is well established in many planes of consciousness. It is our normal means of communication in this plane of life. We think it needs to be developed on earth, but there is need for controls. By the very process of ESP, we are able to observe your (the writer's) concern for the need to control ESP. Yes there is, indeed, the need to control its use on earth. There are certain built-in limitations on its use that preclude its abuse. One way in which ESP is controlled is by the very process itself. It will observe only that which is of concern to its source personality. Now the source could be a malcontent, or a most undesirable spy, coming in from the cold, desiring to look into a process for his own undesirable purposes. This is a potential problem. There are some ways of controlling this situation; however, there are no guarantees it will not happen. We would like to point out, there are laws of retribution for those who act to use these channels for foul or undesirable purposes. Damage may, however, have been done in the meantime. We want to give some suggestions here for controlling the use of ESP:

• Ensure the proper use and purpose of the ESP channel
• Do not proceed with any intent of misuse, or judgement of others, through the material to be used
• Do not use the material to condemn any person. (The soul of each personality must cope with its own personality, and bring it to the place where it understands it is in error.)
• Do not use this communication to deceive any person
• Do not use to mislead any person
• Do not use for greed or material gain

ESP is intended to be used to increase knowledge in a good and positive way, and for the enjoyment of the personality. It is to be used for the benefit of those who do need, and could use, the benefit. It is to be used to give comfort to those who may be in need of comfort. It is to be used for those who need assistance in the form of healing, or help of that nature. It is not to be used in any way that would give one person an advantage over another person. We are concerned with the intention of those who would use it to spy on, or to investigate, the well being of others. We are concerned for those upon whom the spying may be done. In the end they will not lose; anything taken away must be given back. There should be no doubt about that. But those who are the victims do suffer in the meantime.

The first law of all ESP, in any plane of living, is that it must be used in ethical ways. Cheating will be condemned. Those who control the communication will control those who use the communication. We are not at liberty here to explain the control, but we are at liberty to give the information that the control does very surely exist ...it exists in very real terms. Those who use ESP for unethical reasons will pay the piper! Be sure you present that information. It is a serious offence to misuse this channel of communication. Many have fallen by the wayside because they have abused this privilege.

Just about anyone, with some effort, can learn to use ESP. But why does it work better for some people than for others? Well, some minds are highly tuned to this particular vibration and energy. It will work better for those with the right tuning of the mind. This tuning of the mind does not mean they are "holy" or "chosen" people. They have a facility to be used, and should learn to use it well. We might make comment here on the plight of witches in history. It is most unfortunate that history carries a great guilt in the name, but not in the spirit, of Christianity for destroying many talented people it branded as "witches". We must point out, the human race today carries the unfortunate results of this destruction. Many of these people had great talent. Some of them, I am proud and happy to say, participate in this group, The Starters.

Writer's Comment: [By the early part of the sixteenth century drastic changes had taken place in the social, religious, and economic life of Europe. Increases in population, in poverty, and in learning had resulted in growing unrest. The elite were becoming increasingly fearful of the common population who were rapidly gaining access to new printed literature including Protestant emphasis on Bible reading by the public. The elite supported the state in joining with the clergy in a movement to reform and control society. Behavior that up to this time had been thought of as socially undesirable or spiritually sinful now became a crime, subject to prosecution and punishment.

The prosecution of witches, that had been a local practice, became an important element of this attack by state and clergy on the common culture. The church developed a sinister interpretation whereby witchcraft was perceived to be a despicable evil that the authorities had to eradicate in order to place society on the path to salvation. Witches were claimed to be entering into a conspiracy with the Devil to oppose God.

They were perceived as worshippers of Satan. Those accused of being witches were assumed to be guilty until proven innocent; confessions of guilt were extracted by means of torture. Those found guilty were burned at the stake or hanged and their property was confiscated. By the seventeenth century as many as 100,000 people may have been tried as witches in Europe and England. Most were tortured and put to death.

Some eighty percent of those found to be guilty and put to death were women, often the elderly and the poor. It appears that the waves of prosecutions brought against poor and older women coincided with the new social ethic that required each person to look after herself or himself. Economic conditions resulting from this social ethic forced poor and elderly women to beg or seek charity on the street. Many, no doubt, were afflicted by various conditions of senile dementia and other forms of senility and depression aggravated by lack of nourishment. Until the nineteenth century very little was known about the conditions of disease in the human brain. Reasoning of the time had to be influenced by ancient beliefs in possession by devils, entrenched in religious thought.]
