Lady Godiva Presents Her Views

(Granger for Lady Godiva): The beginning of a new day, at the beginning of a new week. We of The Auroral People greet once more those of the people of the physical earth who are ready to open the mind, at least sufficiently to read what we present. Today's writing comes through the thought-patterns of the lady's side of the house. Here too we recognize the male and female halves of nature. No two personalities are alike, but the female mind may present a certain and somewhat different perspective. When Stephen wrote he presented his material in letter form; we are not going to do that but the nature of this material will be in somewhat of a personal tone.

I am told that to write to people in the earth I must have a pen-name. Here we all have names too, of course, but the meaning, the concept, could not be translated into earth terms. I have chosen for this writing the name Godiva ...not that I am going to ride through town on a white horse in the absence of proper attire. But I like the sound of the name; if I lived in the earth I would like to be called "Lady Godiva." Now that I have a name, let us move on to see what I have to tell you.

First, I think it would be of some interest to give you some background. I realize that Stephen has already done that, but he covers the entire cosmos with his mind so rapidly that a little repetition may be in order. I became aware of this project back when the personality, Granger, was writing other material and he made reference to the presence and reality of The Auroral People. His reference and friendly greeting registered here in the minds of those who are interested. (As in the physical earth, all here do not have the same interests.) In the mind of the writer in the earth, I saw an open invitation to the female side to write as well. We do not enter here without an invitation. I am here this morning in response to that open invitation to visit your dimension of life and I will do my best to present the lady's point of view.

All of life, with all its planes and its little separations, is part of the same being. As the tree has limbs and branches, leaves and flowers, roots and trunk, bark and sap, with all its elements working together to give meaning and life, so does the entire cosmos of all being and living have a unity, a flow- through from one element or plane to the other. Life cannot be healthy in any plane when there is suffering that comes out of other planes. Man-in-the-earth (and in this day, woman-in-the-earth) must accept responsibility for life and its quality in that dimension ...in that branch of the tree.

Tomorrow I will write more about life in our day; I will endeavour to help you to comprehend better/our way of life. I will help you to understand the needs of the earth in terms of evolvement in the cosmos. Until then, our blessings.

[The Lady Godiva of History]

Comment: [Since the Lady of The Auroral People has chosen as her pen- name that of Lady Godiva, some readers may want to know a little more about the Lady Godiva of history. The Lady Godiva of history and tradition was the wife of Earl Leofric, one of the Earls who, under King Canute, ruled England in the eleventh century. Coventry was the most valuable of extensive lands owned by Godiva.

Lady Godiva of Coventry was praised by ecclesiastical writers for her concern for her people and for her gifts to the church. Her husband, Earl Leofric appears to have been hostile toward the Church. But later in life, under the influence of his wife, he became reconciled.

The reason for Lady Godiva's ride through the town of Coventry, in the nude you will remember, was to persuade her husband to free the people of Coventry from a burdensome tax. Versions of Lady Godiva's ride written by monks in the twelfth century (within 100 years of her death) tell that, angered by his wife's entreaties on behalf of the people, Leofric agreed he would relieve the tax on condition that she rode naked through the marketplace while the people were assembled there. She carried out the ride, meeting the conditions, covered only by her long hair. Pleased with the way in which his conditions were met, Leofric granted the charter to free Coventry as promised.

The exact nature of the service by Lady Godiva to the people of Coventry is difficult to establish through the blend of history and folklore. Certainly the traditional story has inspired writers and artists as well as historians. Her death is stated to have occurred in 1067.]

[Granger for Lady Godiva]: Imagine, if you will for a moment, how you would adapt to life in the earth without the benefit of the physical body. You sense everything down to the very energy field surrounding the molecules of life. Your mind still functions in all its capabilities, but you have no capacity to lift or move, to chop-down or to build-up anything in the physical dimension. If you can imagine how you would live under that environment, you are coming close to the nature of The Auroral People. We play and live in harmony with, and enjoy the depths of energy and vitality given off by all the forms of the physical earth. We observe much more of the radiance of the energy given off from nature than you do. And we enjoy the changing scenes and climates as you do. But there is more here, as you say, than meets the eye ...or the I.

Man is an essence of spirit that to his own detriment he sells short. Do not "sell short" on the benefits of the spirit in the earth-life. We know the healing, the radiance, the range of spectrum, available to the human mind if you will allow the spirit-mind to unfold and to open up to the fuller range of energy and vibration. I would address my remarks in particular to the ladies of the earth, to the female mind, to tune-in to the finer vibrations of life. Listen to the music of the universe; observe the colours of the sunshine broken into arrays of tinting and shading; watch the starlight as it is reflected into the waters of the earth. Learn to feel the harmony and the healing of nature. Only then will you know that the heights and depths and widths of all life are real and everlasting.

We have different objectives than you do, therefore we have different activities and motivations. There is the desire to build-up, to accumulate wealth of its own kind here. But it is of a very personal and individual kind of wealth. It is never of the nature that you store-up and bank-away. It is of the nature that you ingest or take-in to your personal being. We are more in harmony with the children of the earth than with any other age of physical people ...without apology I might add, and I would like to tell you why. The child in the earth learns new things at a formidable rate. Give a child two hours to roam through a garden, assuming he or she has been taught not to destroy it, and he or she will absorb more than any adult is likely to take in days, weeks, or if ever. The adult feels sophisticated in his or her mind because of the awareness of money, banks, mortgages, insurance, houses, and land. The child knows nothing of these and cares less, but the mind of the child is storing and processing information at a fascinating rate, ...information that will remain throughout all time and all being, far beyond that day of physical death. This is the reason we find the mind of the child interesting. Also, the forebrain of the child has not closed out, as yet, the realm of consciousness beyond that of the physical range of senses. Often the child can accept and observe our reality, with a little bit of help from our side.

Very well! Someone will want to know, what are The Auroral People like ...really? Do they have houses? Do they have children? Do they have schools? Do the sexes play similar roles to the people's of the earth? And how do they get born ...and how do they die? These are natural questions and, as the Lady of the House, I will give the answers in an easy way that will assist with understanding and still be factual. Life demands facts, but facts demand to be presented in an interesting fashion. Facts need to be clothed in interesting, living terms.

Time has a very different meaning in our lives than it does in yours. We recognize time to the extent that certain events come in an order. All events do not follow in that order however; some events happen concurrently. Understand that our first order of concern is with the nature and sequence of events. We were not born into time, with so many days or years to live. We were created out of the soul, the same High-souls as that from which the spiritual personality of each Earth-person comes forth. Understand that there is not one kind of High-soul that sends forth The Auroral People and another to send forth Earth-people. We all come into being out of the same High-souls. Of course, we have no second source of being such as your physical earth body.

We need to draw a fine line here. All personalities of the High-souls that do not enter the physical plane and the physical body do not become Auroral People, ipso facto...no indeed. Many human personalities never enter a physical body. They develop along other lines in the spiritual dimensions. That does not in any way preclude them from full and complete identity as persons. It does not, on the other hand, qualify them or direct them into the nature of The Auroral People. It is true that The Auroral People have a different nature, a different vibration, a different sense of being, complete and distinct from that of the human personality.

Yet, coming out of the same sources, out of the same High-souls, we have much of the same nature and aspects of conscious awareness as that of the human personality. It is, I think, very difficult for the human mind, while confined in the physical parameters, to comprehend the vital, many-sided, blazing vitality of these High-souls. The vital, living energy, so apparent in a child, is there to be drawn upon, to be used. Learn to live from the ever-abundant energy of your High-soul.

In the earth life you have so many terms in reference to the differences of the sexes. You speak of the battle of the sexes; now you have women's lib; you legislate equal rights ...and the ladies of the earth get to stand up on the busses. Tomorrow I will take some time to explain the nature of the sexes from our aspect of being. I think this explanation should be something of more than passing interest to the peoples of the physical earth.

Good Morning again! We are becoming old friends, meeting here each morning. I must say that this is becoming an interesting experience for me, as well as for you. I understand, in earth-terms, it is much better to be recognized as the Lady of The Morning than as a Lady of The Night. The Auroral People ask how I enjoy this experience of writing through a channel into the earth-people ...or to the minds thereof. I say, "Well I enjoy the experience and I hope that through this writing I will develop some friends in the physical earth, and that they will find my writing of some interest to them." Now we are ready to con.tinue our discussion from the previous session.

When the sexes of nature and of the spirit enter into supporting relationships, peculiar or unique to each form or plane of being, the resultant completion of the halves in union bring new life, in some form or other, into being. The obvious result of union in physical terms is that a new child is born ...be it animal or human. As you are aware, nature provides the process of the sexes to other forms of physical life in the earth, including plants, trees, and many forms of simpler life. We do not say "lesser" life now, we say "simpler" life. However, do not confine resultant new life to being always in physical terms only.

In the spirit as well, the union of the sexes has a very specific meaning and purpose. Whenever a new personality is to be sent out from a High-soul, the spiritual force of life, there is a certain form of union in which the two halves of the whole spirit within that High-soul combine to create the new psychic personality. This new personality is cast in a permanent pattern of personality in harmony with the intended pattern of life to be followed.

Now I must hasten to tie-up any loose ends. When we say that the personality is "cast", we do not intend for you to infer any form of predestination. All high beings are given freedom of choice. No personality, or soul, or spirit, is ever created out of the High-soul without having freedom to choose. (We do not include as personalities, The Beings of a few sessions ago, described when Stephen wrote.) By being cast, we mean simply that they have a permanent "set" or state of being. They will not fade away or blend-into some other being or later personality. Certain earth-religions suggest this blending- into process, but it does not happen. The everlasting, permanent, for-all-time, nature of all high personalities should be understood clearly. There should be no doubt as to the permanence of each personality.

In my opinion as an observer of earth life, certainly physical death is much less difficult and a less awesome experience than physical birth. Have no fear of physical death. If you survive physical birth, then the experience of physical death will come easy. Imagine, if you will, the anxiety that goes along with forcing your foot into a tight new shoe; then imagine the pleasure of later removing the foot, somewhat sore and swollen from the forced fit, the foot now free to relax and recover with ease and comfort. That is a somewhat oversimplified illustration, I must admit, of the experience of birth and death ...the shoe representing the physical-earth life.
