Personal Integrity

(Granger for Lady Godiva): Let me begin by saying we will open certain channels of thought through which you as an individual may, or may not, choose to pass. Do not feel that any hellfire or brimstone awaits any who choose not to follow the patterns we present. We love the opportunity to present this material, but there is no intent of pressure being placed upon any who are inclined not to participate.

The idea of personal integrity is important to each and all persons, be they of the physical or of the spiritual dimension. There is no idea more important to the personal mind than that of the sacred integrity of a person. Each and every personality, in each and every dimension and clime of being, is unique in its own direction and its own thrust into life. Do not ever, for any reason, pattern your life after that of another. No two lives are alike any more than any two cloudy skies are alike, or any two rivers are alike. They may have certain similar characteristics, but they are never identical in being.

We need to develop the concept of integration of the total self. You see, it is very easy to have the total self lying around in various elements and fragments. We will clarify that statement in a moment, but what is needed is a well integrated, got it all together self. The who of who I am needs to be recognized clearly within the conscious mind. The need to be seen clearly in "the eye of the self" is essential to comprehension of who I am and why I am here. We cannot very well carry out a well-planned project for self-development until we understand who it is that we are in the first place. You do not, for example, attempt to repair your automobile or your television set if you have no idea of how it is suppose to work; if you do you may create problems as easily as repair those that exist. We need to get to understand the elements of the person and how to go about getting them together in one composite image of self-being.

Let us assume for a moment that we are in an observation tower from which we can observe all the various personalities of any given High-soul. These personalities represent various stages of life in mu]ti-dimensional planes of being. As a human personality, the first shock-wave will probably be to realize the large number of personalities belonging to one single High-soul. The second shock-wave will probably be to realize that these personalities are not all of the human race, not by any means. The third shock-wave will probably be to realize, of all the human personalities, many are in planes of development far beyond the physical earth. And many have progressed far beyond the concepts they once held in the physical earth. We think there would be considerable surprise to behold the highly complex and well integrated way in which each High-soul receives information from so many dimensions and how it in turn sends out new information.

The mind of the High-soul will be seen to carry an array of material from the Higher Being, from whence comes its instructions, its purpose, and its meaning. In this very complex state of consciousness, anyone personality might appear very insignificant; however, it is here that the real development of the soul's activity is found at its very sources. The High-soul regards the efforts of its individual personalities to be of a priority. No single personality is ever lost or unaccounted for. The god-like consciousness of the soul keeps account constantly of the presence of each personality.

From this scene we will move down now to bring into focus the individual personality. We will select one out of many. Because we are writing into the earth, let us select one of the many human personalities. Let us go farther and select one who still lives in the physical earth, who is active in a physical body from which it has not yet seen fit to disengage itself. We will look into the total being of this person.

Whenever we observe the total being and mind of a personality there is an array of many elements. First we observe a mind containing a will, located within a personality. We find a body, several bodies in fact. The first from our point of view is the psychic body, which contains the elements of the mind and the personality, giving them shape and form as a meaningful person. There is also the physical body. The physical body provides the vehicle, the capacity, to live in the physical dimension, which in our case study happens to be in the earth. Self-awareness is not to be taken for granted; it is the essence of the person. To be able to say, "I know that I am, and I know who I am" is an enrichment of life indeed. To be able to say, "I know I am," is the very essence of the fulfilment of life. To walk out into life knowing why one is here, and why at this time, is essential to the highest level of living. If I am aware of the fact that I am, why should I not be aware of the reason why I am? I need to know the reason why I exist.

We need to understand the need for life, the need for awareness, the need for personality. The need for life is inherent in the mind of The Source of all existence. The opposite to life is non-existence. Non-existence is a denial of life; it is a denial of being. Nothing that exists can ever return to non-existence; it can change form in many ways, but existence cannot become non-existence. The need for life is the essence of being.

Now the need for self-awareness is, of course, not essential to life. Many forms live without self-awareness. Self-awareness is, however, essential to the personality. An aware personality is a highly developed form of life. And, I trust, we no longer need to point out that all self-aware personalities are not of the human race. Have an awareness, a clear comprehension of a vast fellowship of various forms of personalities. The need for such awareness? ... you cannot explore the countryside if you keep insisting that there is no countryside. No use in our reaching out a hand to you if your mind is closed to the reality of our existence.

Why the need for personalities at all? Why do High-souls send out personalities into various dimensions of life? Why would a High-soul not prefer to retain itself within itself? Why create and send out personalities, creating all these problems of need for harmony, need for understanding, need for development? We have no authority to speak for High-souls, but we are free to tell you of that which we observe. Inherent in the nature of all high personalities, High-souls and higher, we observe a need to create, to expand, to send out, to explore. This sending out and exploring is not a passive, observing experience only. There is a creating process present in the observing. The creating process is not uniform nor "look-alike"; it is unique in that different attitudes are sent into various situations. The difference in the attitudes or the observing elements colours the nature or that which is observed. No two observers ever observe, into the mind, precisely the same thing. That which is observed is coloured by that which is already in the mind of the observer.Through this individualized nature of uniqueness of each observer sent out, personality is developed. Always, each personality is unique. Even in identical twins, we might observe, the personality of each is quite distinct from that of the other. Indeed, they are not likely to be sent out from the same High-soul. You see, no High-soul would send out two or more identical personalities to follow the same pattern of development.

Today in the earth, we observe so much of two extremes of awareness. On the one hand is the "wow" and the "razzle-dazzle" of the evangelical mind, while on the other is the blocked, mechanical mind that relates to the experiments of a physics laboratory and to nothing beyond. Soon the human mind will have developed to the state of an overgrown, mechanical child if it does not begin to recognize and comprehend the nature of consciousness in larger terms than those of the present concepts. We need to comprehend more clearly the need for the mind to encompass the concepts of higher consciousness. The presence of the High-soul of each individual needs to be recognized. The presence of the individual personality, and of the individual mind and will, above that of the physical brain, needs to be brought more clearly into focus. The purpose and pattern of a lifetime relative to its spiritual origins and its psychic nature, together with its continuing role as a person after the decease of the physical: all these need to be recovered and brought into clear view. Otherwise the total purpose and nature or lire cannot be comprehended. We are not opposed to the efforts of the evangelist, nor to the laboratory experiments of the physicist, but we see great need for comprehension between these points of view. We have an advantage in our being able to observe consciousness in its multi-dimensions. Your advantage ...your potential advantage, is being enabled to structure physical life and experience in accord with physical laws. We consider this to be an advantage for you because of the opportunity it presents for personal development. We see no other ultimate advantage of the physical life. The physical life is considered by most in the earth to be the all-in-all; nothing could be accepted by most in the physical earth in place of physical life. Yet we, The Auroral People, observe the multitudes who have passed out of the physical life into the, as you say, "regions beyond."

We need to understand that the spirit of each mind on earth casts a long shadow into the next life, or the next phase of the present life, as it more correctly seems to us. We think this phrase, "the next life," is somewhat misleading. There is in reality no "next life"; there is but a continuation of the same life, under new circumstance that is true, but the same life. To walk away from the physical body does not create a new life. There will be, hopefully, newness of the old life, healing of the burdens from life in the physical body, a new and refreshing flexibility of the mind, but the same life.

The life you live now casts a very long shadow, live it well, live it easy but live it well. Develop that which is worth while; let that which is unworthy fall by the wayside. Do nothing to block the way of others, nor to pull them aside from their rightful pathway. Help others, but help them to be that which is in harmony with their own personality. Do not decide that they should turn aside to fit some social, political, or religious order conceived out of the mass-mind. The individual must develop as an individual with all sacred respect given to the way of personal development. The earth does need a community of spirit, that is true, but not at the expense of the individual.
