The Senate No. 9: Physical Conditions Reflect The Spiritual Mind

The Senate No. 9 (11/Nov/1984): We will begin today's session with a brief summary of the nature of physical conditions in the body relative to the spiritual condition of the spiritual body.

The physical condition reflects beliefs in the spiritual mind in the spiritual body. Sickness - a physical disease, is of course of a physical nature, but it may be allowed to come about because of conflicting thoughts about the nature of physical reality. You need to understand that most of the factors in a diseased condition of the physical body are not "good" or "bad" in themselves. A virus or a bacterium is a real and living thing, neither good or bad in itself - it just exists. Sometimes it exists in an undesirable situation from a human point of view. But from the virus' point of view it is just there, doing its thing. The human mind relates this condition to some form of evil or bad thing over which the human body has no control.

If the human body is well situated within a living environment provided by the spiritual mind and will - contained within the energy of the spiritual body, then the physical body has great control indeed. There is a vast array of energy fields surrounding each physical body. Some of these fields can be measured or photographed by technology used by the human intellect. Other levels of energy exist and are equally valid but are not detected by physical devices or technology.

Now that the human physical body has the inherent protection of the spiritual body why does it get out of kilter and kick-up with errors in functions - with departures from normal performance? Why do the invaders get in and take control? Why disease?

There is this direct link of the spiritual to the physical that must be in place, vital, healthy, working and true in its concepts. We observe from here the relationships between the spiritual body and the physical body. Many are distorted, very out of relationship, and some have no relationship at all. The physical body is totally (almost) on its own to fend for itself. Some have a very negative relationship, in that the will has chosen to proceed in its own wilful way regardless. These persons will, by nature, have a sick physical body.

There is an intuitive touch that lets the person know when the physical body is in harmony with the spiritual. No great research is required here. Some people who are well adjusted to harmony between the physical and the spiritual have no working awareness of such a relationship whatsoever. They accept a good healthy belief in the capacity of the physical body to maintain its health, and they allow their lives to run in that belief, as if by instinct.
