General

Esa has a strange conflicting personality. On the surface she can seem perfectly ameniable, even fun when she is around people she really knows and trusts. She has a great amount of love and loyalty towards her closest friends but really doesn't like that loyalty being betrayed and it will have one of two effects upon her. She will either become incredibly recluse or vengeful. She is a proud girl and does not like being reminded by anyone of her inferiorities yet she hardly values herself enough to make anything of her strengths. The key to Esa is that she in herself is a contradiction almost bordering upon schizophrenia. She tussles with her inner emotions unsure of what she wants and hurting many people along the way. In turn she hurts herself fighting her own depression and cannot seem to decide whether she wants to shut the world out or let it in. On one hand she yearns for friendship and for human contact, while on the other she will shy from it and lock herself away. She does like to keep fairly to herself but as a result, such building emotion can pent up inside to overspill occasionally for positive or negative (i.e. she can get too overexcited sometimes). She doesn't even know the reason why she acts like this, she just does although her mind if constantly trying to seek through her state of being to understand herself better and the conflict in her mind arises as to what it wants. She does know however that she fundamentally lacks self confidence and fears judgement, so she tries to adapt to be liked.

The result is one part which is bright and cheerful and friendly, outgoing amongst friends and sweetly genuine yet shy amongst strangers, and the other part which can swing to depressive moods very very quickly. Her 'chatty' side however can seem a bit inexperienced at the 'being social' notion and she can speak out of turn.

As such she swings quite extremely from petulant, childish and withdrawn with a harsh cynical bite to a much more outgoing, assertive and bright person. Esa may be highly intelligent but she likes to hide it and also when she is a senshi she will act without thinking. She is physically a strong senshi and despite starting out intelligent and thoughtful of her actions, she descends downhill allowing her emotions to cloud her right until the very end when she has a sudden change in temperement.

Once in a depression she will become apathetic and unwilling to do anything and spend her time asking for help which she does not accept with good grace. However, despite a wish to be liked she is generally stubborn and can be mean. Esa has a vindictive nature which does not like to be beaten and she will take revenge maliciously if she feels done wrong by. She can appear to be only interested in her own gains. Esa can be brusque, harshly so. Libra once commented to her that her own very dry and cynical personality is merely the manifestation of Esa's true inner personality to which Esa replies 'Oh great. I have a great inner me'. She is quick to temper and while professing that she is laid back, she will become sullen, sarcastic, icy and cynical very quickly. This usually happens when she feels a need to go on the defensive and to seal away any vunerability. She is intensely vunerable, she hurts and is hurt. She maintains her high defenses to protect herself from hurt, to seal herself away from the world and isolate herself from anyone ever knowing who she really is. This even she doesn't know for sure, her reasons for living or existing or what the real self beneath her is. She cannot detemine her emotional wants and therefore cannot determine emotionally what she is. The upside however is that she won't let anyone defy her or get in her way and it makes her a strong and focussed senshi.

It is in her romance life that she does cause the greatest hurt of other people. Romantic attention scares her somewhat, she is surprised that someone doesn't want to undermine her self confidence for once and she withdraws, unsure of what she truly wants or who she should want. She is terrified of deep emotional involvement and despite herself she sees that involvement lying with the one person she truly loves and as thus can be perceived as very fickle and indecisive, leading her to hurt a great many people.

Senshi Appearance:

Normal -
Classic white senshi fuku. Short bows and tails in a shade of a mid-sky blue. The gloves are elbow length and topped with three dark aqua green rings. The skirt is a soft pleated skirt dark aqua green in colour topped with a plunging v-shaped band. The collar is a pale mint colour, with two white stripes and fastened on her chest to the bow with a gold disc bearing her engraved planetary emblem. The footwear is white knee-high boots, a band of dark aqua around the top and inset with a gold oval-shaped gem.

Super –
Very similar to the first incarnation of senshi except for the addition of thin transparent chiffon ‘wing’ like sleeves protruding from only one round sleeve. The front bow is still short although the tails grow longer to be knee length; the colour remains the same sky blue however. The gloves are still elbow length and topped with three dark aqua green rings and the skirt is still a soft pleated skirt dark aqua-green colour topped with a plunging v-shaped band. The collar remains mint in colour, but now with only one white stripe and fastened on the chest to the bow with a gold heart emblem bearing her engraved planetary emblem. The footwear is still the white knee-high boots, a band of dark aqua around the top and inset with a gold oval-shaped gem.

Eternal –
The fuku is still a white bodice but the sleeves have now become ‘bubbles’ in a very light blue colour and supported by two dark green rings around her arms. The front bow now has three layers, in mid-sky blue and becoming progressively darker in shade with the layering. The back bow is still one layer but the tails reach to the ankles. Gloves are elbow length and white, although the three coloured rings are partially obscured as the main glove extends into a hard and very sharp piece of material. This is detached from the senshi’s skin so that when she bends her arms, the material sticks out like a blade. The skirt maintains the same colour but now consists of three layers, the second layer being a lighter green/mint and the third practically white, the skirt also has a dual band shaded a pale ice on the bottom and a darker blue on top fastened in the middle with a gold star. The collar is still brown but stripeless and the fastening is a gold star decorated with the Astrological sign as an inset piece of gleaming light blue coloured Agate and a smaller ball of amethyst just above. The boots are dark aqua - forest green and thigh-high with a stiff sharp piece of material at the top shaped into a triangular shape again to act as a blade.

Items & Weapons: A long silver staff which hold the Crystal of Light. This adds an extra emergency safeguard to the battle but it uses up much of the senshi's own energy. The crystal gives Aquarius her 'protection' name - The senshi protecting against darkness - as well as firing a one-hit ray-blast to destroy an enemy when she incants 'Aquarius Crystal Power Staff Energise'.

'Normal' Attack: Aquarius Arctic Wind Blast -

The senshi summons a whirling blizzard around her body and then pushes it away with her arms. The attack is a blinding ice and wind attack of a sharp cold whirlwind which constrains enemies while freezing and cutting them with the icy particles.

Super Attack: Aquarius Aquatic Bolt -

When Aquarius uncrosses her arms, a summoned blue ball hits the floor and races towards the enemy flaring up around them as it strikes in an electrified charge of water

Eternal Attack: Aquarius Diamond Crystal Shatter -

Summons a plate of ice above her head which shatters into many blue fragments and then these are thrown like knives at the enemy

Other: Aquarius Pulse Beam Shock -

Her ultimate attack. Energy is attracted to Aquarius' tiara when she is badly hurt. This energy enters the senshi's body and raising her hand creates a white ray of fairly unstoppable energy once fired.
