Resurrection

Saturday April 29th, 2006 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed the fans to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the return of the Global Combat Alliance! Ryan said that it was great to be back and GCA was going to be stronger than ever. 8 big fights were on the card as two tournaments would begin on this historic night in GCA history. Bob Sky said it was enough talk, time to get to the action!

The first fight of the night would feature two Muay Thai fighters, "The Phenomenal" Mong Boo against "Brawlin" Billy Malone. First off was the Tale of the Tape, brought to you by the Sponsor of GCA 6: Stanley Hosspiss Beer!

Billy Malone had 7 inches in height and a 14 pound weight advantage. Billy was also 1 year older and had more fights in GCA. However, to his credit, Mong Boo was undefeated. It was time to go to Julia Stevenson, GCA's resident Siren.

Julia: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to GCA: Resurrection, coming to you live from the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas! We begin tonight's action with a battle in the Lightweight Division! This is a Quarterfinal Match for the Lightweight Title Tournament."

"Introducing first, he is a Muay Thai fighter from bangkok, Thailand. he stands at 5'10" and weighs in at 176 popunds. he's dressed in the Blue Boxing Trunks with Red Trim. He has a GCA Record of 2-0 with 2 KO. he is "The Phenomenal" Mong Boo!"

"I Don't Mind" by Taste started to play as Mong Boo came out wearing the traditional Muay Thai headgear. He walked down to The Pentagon and entered. Ryan Duncan said Mong Boo looked to be in good shape. Sky said he spent the year back in Thailand fighting and still only had 1 loss in his whole life.

"And introducing his opponent. He is a Muay Thai kickboxer from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He stands at 6'5" and weighs 190 pounds. He has a GCA Record of 3-2 with 3 KO. He is "Brawlin" Billy Malone!"

The crowd roared as Billy Malone came out in his Red Trunks with yellow trim and red foot wraps. He looked confident as he approached The Pentagon. He joined Mong Boo and referee Jean-Claude Van Damme.

"You Ready To Fight? Let's Do this!"

Round 1: The bell rung and the fight was underway! Billy and Mong Boo tapped gloves and it was on! Bily Malone got things started off with a vicious LP-RP-LP-RP combo to the body. Mong Boo was knocked back a few steps, then he launched in with a R-Low Kick to the leg and then a L-Middle Kick to the ribs. Both men looked affected early on. Billy then faked a R-Roundhouse Kick and stepped in with an Overhand Right, knocking Mong Boo on his back! Mong Boo had a bloody nose and looked dazed but he signalled that he was all right. He lay on his back with his legs up and both Martini and Sky agreed that in no way would this become a ground fight. Billy took the opportunity to throw some Low Kicks aimed at Mong Boo's legs. Jean-Claude made Malone back up a few steps and Mong Boo got back to his feet. Jean-Claude restarted them and Billy tried a L-Hook aimed at Mong Boo's head. Mong Boo then slipped the Hook and came in with a fast Low Kick and caught Billy with it. They moved around the ring, both being careful and throwing out small strikes with nothing really landing. The buzzer sounded and the round was over.

Martini said that Billy probably had the advantage early with that overhand right. Bob Sky said Mong Boo would have to try to get around the height difference to make a real impact.

Round 2: Jean-Claude got them started and Billy hit a nice Leg Kick. Kong Boo stumbled and then Billy nailed him with a nice Knee and R-Hook to the Body. Mong Boo quickly made distance between them and walked around The Pentagon. He looked to be in trouble and Billy was on the chase. Billy threw another Low Kick to set up a left hand. Mong Boo dodged the hand and hit Billy with a hard kick to the leg. Billy almost fell and Mong Boo then got the Muay Thai clinch, pulled Billy's head down and hit a Jumping Knee that got Billy on the chin! Billy went down and this fight was over!

Winner by KO at 3:12 of Round 2: "The Phenomenal" Mong Boo!

Ryan "Martini" Duncan said that was why Mong Boo was going to be one of the greats in the Lightweight Division. Bob Sky said his Muay Thai was sick and Billy's fate would probably be the fate of all who stood with him.

Ryan Duncan said that GCA 6: Resurrection was brought to you by the folks at Stanley Hosspiss Beer: "Tastes as good as it sounds." Ryan then said that the next fight featured Declan MacIntosh, the former Lightweight Champion against a man who was a former DvG champion and was the hottest fighter in GCA, Chris "The Loose Cannon" Buchanan. First, it was time to hear pre-recorded comments from both fighters.

Pre-recorded Vignette

Declan MacIntosh: [With Thick Scottish Accent] "Aye Now! This is what I've been waitin for all year long. The chance to get back into The Pentagon. I never lost the Lightweight Title, it was taken from me when GCA closed. Now I plan on takin back what is mine. I know Buchanan is a pretty boy who think he's unbeatable. Well, he may have been before GCA closed, but that's only because he didn't fight me. At Resurrection, I plan on taking him out and moving onto the second round."

Both Bob Sky and Ryan Duncan said that Declan was looking strong. Now it was time to see what Chris Buchanan had to say:

Pre-recorded Vignette

Chris Buchanan: "You know what? When I was in GCA, I was the best thing goin. I'm sexy, I'm articulate, I'm good at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I didn't get a shot at the title, but now in this Tournament, I do. Declan may have been good, but I'm better. We were supposed to fight but GCA shut its doors. Now we're back and I am going to strangle that haggis eating, sister kissing, bagpipe blowing paper champ with his own damn skirt!"

The fans watching on the Global Vision screen as well as Ryan and Bob all reacted to Buchanan's comments. Bob Sky this was going to boil the blood of the Scottish Judo fighter. Ryan Duncan said no more tome could be watsed, it was time for The Tale of the Tape!

Chris Buchanan had both the weight and height advantage, as well as being a lot younger. Both were ground fighters with good defense. Ryan said that Buchanan would have the edge in submissions however. They both had the same number of fights in GCA and both were undefeated.

Julia: "Our next fight in the Lightweight Tournament is scheduled for 5 rounds of 4 minutes each! Introducing first, he is a Judo Fighter. He stands at 5'11", weighed in at 173 pounds. He is from Edinburugh, Scotland and is a member of the Highlanders. He is dressed in the Blue and Red Kilt. He has a GCA Record of 4-0 with 1 KO and 3 referee Stoppages. He is the former undefeated GCA Lightweight Champion. He is "The Scottish Pride" Declan MacIntosh!"

The fans cheered as "Live For This" by Hatebreed started to play and Declan came out. He seemed fired up and prepared for his battle with Buchanan. The camera then showed a familiar face in the front row and the crowd cheered again. It was professional wrestler "The Hardcore Highlander" Duncan Fraser! Ryan Duncan said that Fraser was a former Champion in a Las vegas wrestling circuit and was sure to be rooting for his fellow countryman. The camera showed Declan getting instructions from Jean-Claude Van Damme.

"And his opponent. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter hailing from Malibu, California, USA. He stands at 6'2" and weighed in at 182 pounds. He is dressed in the White Spandex Trunks. He has a GCA Record of 4-0 with 2 Submissions and 2 Referee Stoppages. He is also the former undefeated and last DvG Trophy winner. He is 'The Loose Cannon' Chris Buchanan!"

There was a mixed reaction as Buchanan came out. he had a big grin on his face as he headed down to The Pentagon. Ryan Duncan reminded everyone, Buchanan was the final DvG winner because that trophy had been remade into the GCA Gladiator Cup. "Bullet The Blue Sky" by Sepultura continued to play as Chris got into The Pentagon and received his instructions from Jean-Claude Van Damme. It was now time to start the fight.

"You Ready To Fight? Let's Do this!"

Round 1: They met in the middle and Declan was a good sport and wanted to tap gloves, however, Chris Buchanan gave Declan the middle finger! Declan became infuriated and quickly executed a Kibisu-Gaeshi (heel trip). Buchanan was down but he amanged to get Half Guard. Ryan Duncan said from here Declan would try to get the leg free and go into Mount while Buchanan would seek Full Guard. Declan then started hitting Buchanan with the Yoko-uchi (side blow) in the ribs. Buchanan managed to get Full Guard but Declan fired off a Naname-uchi (slanting strike). Buchanan then locked up both arms and held them close to his body. Buchanan then isolated an arm in the dying seconds and attempted a Kimura (a kind of elbow and shoulder lock) from Closed Guard but the buzzer sounded, ending the round.

Both Sky and Duncan agreed that Buchanan needed to be more agressive with submissions and try to get on top so Declan wouldn't get so many openings.

Round 2: Declan struck first again, this time with a Yoko-geri (side kick) to the quadriscep that looked like it weakened Buchanan's base. Declan charged ahead but found himself in a Guillotine Choke! However, because of the body position, Buchanan couldn't get the torque he wanted and Declan managed to eventually get out. They got back to their feet where Buchanan fired off a couple of quick jabs. Buchanan tried a Shoot but then Declan stopped it and countered with a Sukui-nage/Te-guruma (scoop throw). Buchanan ended up on his head and was out!

Winner by KO at 3:01 of Rd 2: "Scottish Pride" Dclan McIntosh.

Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Sky liked Declan's style. Declan it seemed was going to be a force in the Lightweight Tournament. It was time to check into The Pentagon as William Hung was set to interview Declan.

"Wow! Decwan, that was super trow! You put him on head!"

[Thick Scottish Accent] "AYE NOOOOOW! I tell ya William, that felt grrrreat! He was talking a lot of trash about me and I got 'em good! Twas a grrreat win for me and the Highlanders."

"Now you fight Mong Boo next month. How you tink it go?"

[Thick Scottish Accent] "He is a tough fighter. Billy Malone battered him around and he came back to win. So I am nae going to underestimate him. However, I do feel he won't be able to stop my takedowns, and when I get him down, I'm gonna knock him out!"

"OK! Everywan, big cheer for Decwan!"

The fans cheered as Declan waved to them. he then left The Pentagon and Duncan fraser in the front row shook his hand. Ryan "Martini" Duncan said it was a great fight, and there was a lot more to come. Bob Sky reminded everyone that GCA 6: resurrection was brought to you by Stanley Hosspiss Beer "Tastes as Good as it Sounds." It was now time for the next night between "Rather Studly" Mike Burnett and "The White Dragon" Koji Yamasuka. First off, some pre-recorded comments.

Pre-recorded Vignette

Mike Burnett: "This is going to be a big opportunity for me. My record last year sucked and I've been through some trials. however, I'm back as a stronger fighter and ready to show my warrior's heart. I respect Koji Yamasuka but I admit that I will be out there to try to knock him flat on his back!"

Pre-recorded Vignette

Koji Yamasuka: [Translated from Japanese] "It is an honor for me to be in GCA once again. I have spent the last year in Japan with a brief tour in an American wrestling company where I have been trying to find the best weight for me. For a while I was as light as 155 and as bulky as 230. I feel good at 190 and will stay here for a long time. I plan on defeating my opponent and moving on to round 2."

Martini said it was time for The Tale of the Tape. Burnett had a 4 inch height advantage but Koji was heavier by 12 pounds. Even though Burnett was a striker, he does have Judo in his background and his only GCA win was by Submission, so he probably has the ground advantage. it was time to go to Cageside with Julia Stevenson.

Julia: "This is the 3rd fight in the First Round of the Lightweight Tournament. Making his way to the ring first, he stands at 5'11" and weighed in at 178 pounds. He is a Shotokan Karate amd Judo Fighter fighting out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has a GCA record of 1-3 with 1 Submission. He is "Rather Studly" Mike Burnett!"

"No Leaf Clover" by Metallica with the London Symphony Orchestra started to play and the fans cheered as Mike Burnett came out in blue pants and a white Toronto Maple Leafs Jersey. He slapped hands with a few fans and then entered The Pentagon where he removed the jersey and pants to show off his Toronto Maple Leafs Trunks.

"And his opponent; he stands at 5'7" and weighed in at 191 pounds. He is from Kyoto, Japan and practices Dragon Fist Bushido. He is wearing the White Gi pants and also is a member of the White Dragon Dojo. he is also the current reigning ECCW Heavyweight Champion. he has a GCA record of 1-1 with 1 KO. He is "The White Dragon" Koji Yamasuka!"

"Lose Yourself" by Eminem played as Koji came out holding the ECCW Title high above his head. Bob Sky made a joke about Koji not defending the title once since he won it 3 years ago. Koji got into The pentagon where Jean-Claude Van Damme was waiting.

"You Ready To Fight? Let's Do this!"

Round 1: Koji and Burnett touched gloves and it was time to start the fight. Both men circled each other and Koji launched first with a Front Snap kick that connected. Koji then threw a R-Reverse Punch that stung Burnett. Mike came back with a R-Middle Side Thrust Kick and a L-Roundhouse Kick to the leg. Mike then jumped in with a Bicycle Kick that nailed Koji in the chest and kncocked him on his butt! Koji immediately signalled he was all right and then Mike called him up. Mike then caught Koji with another Low Kick to the leg. Mike tried a Spinning Back Kick but Koji dodged and hit a nice Right Straight that landed on Mike's chest, knocking him back. The buzzer sounded and the round was over.

Bob Sky said this was a decent stand up match. Ryan Duncan said that this could escalate into a war before too long.

Round 2: The round started off with Koji throiwng a punch that just grazed Burnett but then scoring with a nice High Roundhouse Kick to the Shoulder. Burnett got fired up and started throwing Right and Left Punches with a fury, he then finished up with a Front Jump kick that sent Koji reeling! Koji was on his back and Mike started Kicking at Koji's legs. Koji rolled backward and then sprang up and punches Mike! Both men started letting fists fly and hitting each other when the buzzer sounded and van damme had to seperate them!

As the roar of the crowd could be heard, Bob congratulated Martini on the good call. Ryan Duncan said it looked like the tide was in Burnett's favor. Bob Sky then said it was great the Stanley Hosspiss Beer was sponsoring this great event.

Round 3: Koji came out and tried a High kick but he slipped, Burnett then lept in with a Jumping "Superman" punch that caught Koji! The swelling in Koji's eye was almost immediate. Koji backed away and when Mike threw a Chop, Koji slipped it and hit an Uppercut to the body. Mike backed away and both men started to circle each other. Koji threw a leg kick that was checked by Mike and Mike threw a punch that was blocked by Koji. Mike then tried a R-Hook but Koji stepped back and threw a Double palm Thrust into Mike's stomach. The buzzer sounded and the third round was now history.

Ryan Duncan said that Koji was making a little comeback, but he needed to pick up the pace. Bob Sky this was now the longest lasting fight so far and he said the one with the superior conditoning would be the victor.

Round 4: The round started and both men met in the middle, koji threw a kick and Burnett sprang into action. He started throwing repeated, furious 1-2 punch combos. The crowd was getting worked into a frenzy as Burnett had Koji pinned against the fence. Mike kept throwing leather and then nailed a R-Uppercut that caught Koji on the chin! Koji went down in a heap, jikem got on top throwing, Jean-Claude stepped in and it was over!

Winner by Ref Stoppage (TKO) at 0:45 of Round 4: "Rather Studly" Mike Burnett.

Bob Sky said that Burnett's fire was impressive. Martini said that this was a big boost in confidence for Burnett who was on the lowe end of the Lightweight Division, now he was quickly climbing the ladder. Ryan said that William Hung was going to speak to Burnett.

"Super fight Mike Boonett! How did that feal?"

Mike: "It felt amazing Will, it really did. I know Koji and I know he is a good striker, but I've been workin hard and my dedication to training has been paying off. I'm off to get that Title! OWWWWWWW!"

"In next round you fight eifwer Natamenchoo or Esteban Swave...who you tink ween?"

Mike: "I don't know who to pick, both like to work submissions, should be a great fight for the fans. I don't care who it is to be honest. I wanna thank all the GCA fans for being here tonight and for allowing me to share this great win with you!"

The fans cheered as Ryan smiled and said Mike was a class act. Bob said that it was time for the next fight, between two very good grapplers. Martini said it was time for Alexi natamenchu to fight the first ever GCA Lightweight Champion, Esteban Suave. However, first was The Tale of the Tape, brought to you by Stanley Hosspiss Beer; "Tastes As Good As It Sounds."

Alexi Natamenchu was 2 inches shorter, around 13 pounds heavier and 5 years older than Suave. Natamenchu was into Sambo, Suave into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Suave has more GCA experience and is the former Lightweight Champion. It was time to hear pre-recorded comments from both fighters.

Pre-recorded Vignette

Esteban Suave: [Translated from Porteguese] "I said it on GCA Radio, I'll say it again. I am the sexiest man in GCA, I will defeat Alexi and verey opponent I come across. I will be unstoppable, I made history as the first GCA Lightweight Champion. i will make history by becoming the first man in GCA to be a two time title winner!"

Pre-recorded Vignette

[Translated from Unkrainian] "I do not know this blowhard thinks he can beat me. I am the biggest and most fearsome fighter in the Lightweight class. I will break him and make an example out of him for all of GCA to see!"

Ryan "Martini" Duncan said this fight ought to be entertaining. It was time to go to the Siren, Julia Stevenson.

Julia: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the 4th and final fight for the Lightweights tonight! Introducing first, he is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fighter, fighting out of Rio de Jinero, Brasil. He stands at 6'2" and weighed in at 182 pounds. He is the former GCA Lightweight Champion and has a GCA record of 2-2 with 1 Submission and 1 Referee Stoppage. He is, Esteban Suave!"

"I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred played and the fans booed as esteban came out dancing while in his white soandex trunks. esteban turned back on to the camera and shook his butt to reveal the red heart on his tights. he then walked down to The Pentagon and entered.

"And his opponent. From Kiev, Ukraine, standing at 6'0", he weighed in at 197 pounds. He is a Sambo fighter and a member of The Embraced. he has a GCA record of 1-1 with 1 Submission. He is Alexi Natamenchu!"

"99 ways To Die" by Megadeth blared and the fans had a mixed reaction. Bob Sky joked that Alexi might have 99 Ways to make Esteban tap out. Alexi made it down to the Cage and waited for Jean-Claude to give the green light.

"You Ready To Fight? Let's Do this!"

Round 1: Esteban pulled off a "bum rush" for lack of a better term. Pushing Natamenchu against the fence and pulling his legs out. Bob Sky it was trouble early for Natamenchu. Esteban threw a couple of nice punches to the body but then Alexi was able to get a Closed Full Guard. Alexi fired upward with a punch that connected but didn't have a lot on it. Both men stayed in Guard, with Esteban throwing weak shots, and Alexi throwing weak shots. Neither man was going much until near the end of the round when Esteban got trapped in an Arm Bar!! Just as Alexi looked like he was about to win, the buzzer sounded!

Ryan Duncan said Alexi could have literally been a second away from victory. Bob Sky said Esteban looked to be a little overconfident, he needed to watch Alexi's guard.

Round 2: Esteban started off by getting a Double Leg Shoot on Alexi, taking him down to the canvas. Esteban then got an opening and threw a hard forearm. Alexi managed to cover his face but Esteban kept on working with shots to the body while looking for a submission. In a nice display of power, Alexi managed to Sweep Esteban off, Alexi then Scrambled and got to his feet where he tagged Esteban with a hard Elbow shot! Esteban looked hurt and the round ended.

Ryan Duncan said it seemed like Esteban controlled the first two minutes of each round, then in the last minute, Alexi would explode. Bob Sky said that Alexi needed to get the takedown, if he got in Mount, it would be over.

Round 3: Esteban came out and hit a weak Leg Kick on Alexi. Esteban then stepped in with a 1-2 Hook Combo and staggered Natamenchu. esteban then got a waistlock, lifted Natamenchu and Slammed him hard to the side! Esteban them mounted and got an Achilles Hold! Alexi screamed in pain...but was able to slip out! Alexi then got on top, with Esteban having Half Guard. The rest of the round saw Alexi getting in shots when he could. Not a lot of damage was done and the best Alexi did was a few punches to the side. The buzzer sounded to end round 3.

Bob Sky said that Esteban did a great job of defending in Half Guard. Ryan said that the Slam and Achilles Lock won the round for Suave.

Round 4: Esteban came out with another kick and they got into a clinch. esteban used his Heel to strike at Alexi's calf muslce, but not a lot of damage was done. Alexi spun Esteban and got the take down where he tried to get Mount, but Esteban used great defense and pulled Full Guard. Alexi stayed in Guard and tried to utilize Ground n Pound, hitting some good punches to the body, but nothing to the face. The buzzer sounded and the round was over.

Bob Sky said it was a tough fight to call. Esteban had moments of sheer brillance, but then Alexi has been more consistent. Ryan Duncan said this would be the round, if anyone was going to do anything, this would have to be it.

Round 5: Alexi got a nice Side Suplex on Esteban. Ryan noted that unlike Pro Wrestling, MMA Suplexes don't look as good because nobody is working with the other, when a person goes up, it's against their will and their feet don't go high off the ground unless the person suplexing is a monster. Alexi threw some shots to the body, but then Esteban got Butterfly Guard and then pushed Alexi off! Esteban scrambled up and hit Alexi with a nice Looping punch. esteban then got the take down where he tried to lock in an Americana, but Alexi battled through the submission attempt. Esteban stayed on top in Alexi's Open Guard and kept throwing leather to try to score points and finish strong. The buzzer sounded and the fight was over.

Ryan Duncan said it was a good fight, but he thought esteban got the victory with that last round pressure. Bob Sky said this was the first fight of the night to go the distance. It was time for the Judges' Decision.

Juila: "Let's give a round of applause to these GCA Gladiators!"

"Judge Adam West scores the bout 50-47."

"Judge Billy Blanks scores the bout 50-48."

"And Judge Chuck Norris Scores the bout 50-47. For the winner..."

Winner by UNAMIMOUS Decision: Esteban Suave!

The fans booed as Esteban blew kisses into the air. Ryan Duncan said that was a good fight anmd Esteban like he said, won it with that last round. Bob Sky said they were halfway through GCA: Resurrection and this great night of fighting was brought to you by Stanley Hosspiss Beer!

It was now time to go the Heavyweights. First up, it would be "The Emperor" Cesar Belfonta against "Heavy Hittin" Dan Howards. First, it was time for The Tale of The Tape.

Howards at 6'2", 244 had the height and weight advantage over Belfonta. Belfonta was one year younger and both men were great ground practicioners. Both were also fighters for Stefano DiMera in Martial Combat. Now time for comments from both fighters.

Pre-recorded Vignette

"Well, Cesar and I are in the same Stable in Martial Combat, so to be honest, I like it when he wins there. However, at Resurrection, all that is put aside. I want to become GCA Heavyweight Champion."

Pre-recorded Vignette

"Dan is a great fighter, but I feel I am better. This will be a good fight for fans of the ground game. I plan on making him tap out."

Both Sky and Duncan agree that this should be an interesting fight. It was time to go to the Siren, Julia Stevenson.

Julia: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are now ready to begin the Heavyweight Tournament! This first fight is scheduled for 5 round of 4 minutes. Introducing first, he is the innovator of Belfonta Jiu Jitsu. He stands at 5'11" and weighed in at 221 pounds. He is a member of the Belfonta Top Team and has a GCA Record of 1-0 with 1 Submission. Fighting out of Rio De Jinero, Brasil. He is "The Emperor" Cesar Belfonta!

The fans cheered loudly as Parade of Chaos by Zao started to play. Cesar came out wearing his Gi and waving to the fans.Ryan Duncan said that in Martial Combat, where Stefano is a manager, Cesar had a 12 fight win streak earlier in the month. Cesar got into The Pentagon and waited.

"And his opponent. He is a Shootfighter, fighting out of Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Standing at 6'2" and he weighed in at 243 pounds. He is a meber of The Shooters. He has a GCA record of 1-2 with 1 referee Stoppage. He is "Heavy Hittin" Han Howards!

Coat of Arms by Lengsel played and the fans cheered Howards as he came out in Short Green Tights, and black kneepads. Ryan Duncan said it was funny, Cesar had the 12 fight win strewak earlier in the kinth, but now Dan Howards was enjoying it. He walked down to The Pentagon and joined Cesar and referee Steven Seagal.

"You ready? BRING THE PAIN!"

Round 1: Belfonta immediately shot and got the fast takedown. Howards pulled a Closed Guard and held belfonta at bay. They stayed in that position for a while, with Belfonta's only offense being weak punches to the liver area. They were restarted on their feet where Dan got in a decent leg kick. They went to the ground again, with Cesar getting decent body shots in from inside Howard's Half Guard, but no submission attempts were available. the buzzer ended with Cesar on top of Dan.

Both announcers agreed that the action could have been hotter, but also, with two fighters of their caliber, a slower pace isn't suprising.

Round 2: Both man stayed on their feet a little longer, with Belfonta throwing out strikes. Cesar threw a High kick that missed and then tried a "Superman" punch. Cesar got into a clinch with Howards and hit a weak uppercut to the chest. They stayed in the clinch, and then Howards got a nice takedown that showed off more technique than power. Howards tried for an Arm Bar but Cesar blocked it beautifully. The buzzer sounded to end the round and both fighters were met with applause.

Sky said that it looked like they were opening up. Duncan said the first round must have been a feeling out process for the fighters, now the fireworks were starting to go off.

Round 3: They got into the clinch again where Howards tried a knee but didn't really get much with it. Cesar then pulled Howards' head down and got him with a stiff Knee! Howards popped back up and hit a Vicious Looping Overhand Right! The crowd was gonig nuts as both fighters traded equally damaging strikes on each other. Cesar then hit a High kick that knocked Dan down! The crowd was on their feet as Cesar then tried to apply a Kimura from the Side Position! Sky said this was fdangerous for Howards and Martini said Belfonta had the fight. As cesar tried the Kimura, Howards turned and countered with an Arm Bar that made Belfonta tap out!

Winner by Submission at 3:47 of Round 3: "Heavy Hittin" Dan Howards!

Martini said he had to catch his breath after that fight. Bpob Sky said that was one of the most spectacular finishes he'd seen in a while. It was time for William Hung to join Dan Howards in The Pentagon.

"Dan! Dan! AWESOME! I speechwess!"

"The first thing I want to do is to thank my Savior Jesus Christ for His protection over me. That was a great fight for the fans, and a scary one for me. I knew it coming in, and I know it now. Cesar Belfonta is a great fighter and a man i respect greatly. However, I was able to counter his Kimura attempt and take the win. This is for the Shooters! I'm going to bring home that GCA Heavyweight Title!"

As Dan hugged Cesar and left, Martini said Dan Howards was a class act all the way.

It was now time for the next heavyweight fight. It would feature a Striker against a Striker turned grappler...it would be the man they call "Dolemite" against the man now known as "Primetime." It was time for the Tale of the Tape.

Walt Peterson was 10 pounds heavier and had a 6 inch height adavantage. Dolemite was a Karate fighter and Walt was a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter who was a Kickboxer in GCA, so he could go either way. Dolemite had almost as many wins in GCA as Walt did fights. Dolemite was also the last DvG Trophy winner. Walt however may not be in the fight mentally as he suffered a recent tragedy.

Ryan Duncan said that on April 18th, Walt's estranged wife, Tina had died ina plane crash. the reason they were estranged was Walt wrestling, when Walt left wrestling they tried to reconcile. Walt was in Russia for Martial Combat and Tina was in China. Tina was flying there when the plane she was on crashed. Would Dolemite tale advantage of this weakness? It was time for pre-recorded comments.

Pre-recorded Vignette

"I know there are people who are going to say I'm insensitive or that I'm crazy for fighting when my wife passed away so recently. But you know what? This is how I grieve. I will grieve losing her by going into the Cage and by dedicating this fight to her! Dolemite is a tough mutha...but he can't stand the ground game, so I will take him down and submit him!"

Pre-recorded Vignette

"Dat honky foo think he goan beat down tha Righteous Dolemite jes cuz he dedicated the fight to his [bleep]? Man, what a sucka! I tell ya though, I feel for his dead wife, cuz she never had a taste of tha Dolemite before she died!"

The fans watching on the Global Vision booed violently as Sky and Martini said that was crossing a line. Martini said this was a sport based on respect, and the lack of respect by Dolemite was disgusting. It was time to go to Julia Stevenson.

Julia: "Ladies and gentlemen, this heavyweight fight is scheduled for 5 rounds of 4 minutes! The referee will be Steven Seagal. Introducing first: He stands at 6'4" and weighed in at 235 pounds. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fighter and a Kickboxer. Fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada and wearing the Black Spandex Trunks. he has a GCA Record of 2-3 with 2 KO. He is "Primetime" Walt Peterson!"

"The Epigone" by Becoming the Archtype started to play as red strobe lights went off in a many directions as possible. The fans were on their feet rocking out as the hometown kid was back. Duncan said that Walt had new music, a new fight style and perhaps a new attitude. Walt headed down to The Pentagon and waited.

"And his opponent. He is a Karate Fighter fighting out of Chicago Illinois. H stands at 5'10" and weighed in at 226 pounds. He has a GCA Record of 4-2 with 2 KO and 2 Decisions. He is "The Righteous Dolmite" Rudy Jackson!

"Fist Full" by Cypress Hill played and Dolemite came out in his black trunks with the white "D" on the butt. The fans booed him with hatred and he smiled as he flipped them off. he got into the Pentagon and blew a kiss at Walt.

"You ready? BRING THE PAIN!"

Round 1: Walt came out aggressive and in a kickboxing stance. he threw a Low Kick that grazed Dolemite. They moved around and faked each other as both men looked for an opening. Dolemite got a nice reverse Thrust kick to the side of walt, making him grimace. Walt covered up and quickly got space. Dolemite closed the gap, faked and quickly hit a hard Hook Kick that got Walt down ion bis back. walt lay there, waiting for Dolemite to get down in his guard. Sky said that Dolemite had to keep it standing. Dolemite backed up a step and motioned for walt to get up. Seagal got Walt up restarted the fight. Both men looked calm but the tension was in the air...the round ended with Walt hitting a kick on the outer thigh of Dolemite.

Martini said that Dolemite had that round, but both men looked fresh still. Sky wondered if Walt would try to employ his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Round 2: Both men met in the middle and threw stuff that didn't connect. Walt did manage to hit a leg kick. Dolemite threw a kick but missed. Walt did a head fake, stepped in and hit a Wicked Spinning Back Fist that sent Dolemite down!

The fans were cheering loudly as Sky was blown away by the speed of that backfist. Martini said Walt didn't lose the Kickboxing while training for ground fighting. William Hung joined Walt in The Pentagon.

"Walt, how did it feal to win?"

[Fighting back tears but evident in the voice] "It feels good to shut that punk up."

"he said a wot of tings that were vewy personal, it made me vewy angwy...how angwy were you?"

[emotional tone] "It made me mad to hear him talk about my deceased wife like that. Tina was, and is special to me, I wish we were closer before she passed on...but the love didn't die. I decated this fight to her, so I had to do my best."

"I'm sure she was watching from Wevvin [Heaven] wif a biiig smile! Walt gweat job!"

Walt nodded and waved at everyone with tears in his eyes. martini said it was an emopitonal fight and big win for Walt Peterson who was trying to reclaim a shattered career and life.

GCA: Resurrection was an historic night so far and it was brought to you by Stanley Hosspiss Beer, "Tastes as Good as it Sounds." It was time for a fight involving a former Heavyweight Champion. Andrew Woods would try to reclaim the GCA heavyweight title, but first he'd have to go through Pure Gold. It was time for the Tale of the Tape.

Vector had a 2 inch height advantage and a 17 pound weight advantage. Woods was a Street Fighter who was Undefeated in GCA and the fotrmer GCA Heavyweight Champion. Vector was a wrestler who had a less than .500 win average in GCA but who had shown improvement since joining Martial Combat. Both men declined to make any comments.

Julia: "Introducing first, he is a Wrestler fighting out of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He stands at 6'1" and weighed in at 227 pounds. He has a GCA Record of 2-3 with 1 Referee Stoppage and 1 Decision. He is a member of the Canadian All Stars. He is "Pure Gold" Curtis Vector!

"O Canada" as performed by the RCMP Brass Band played as Vector came out carrying a Canadian Flag and wearing his White Sibglet with red trim and the Canadian Maple Leaf on the front. Some anti-Canadian fans booed him as he entered The Pentagon.

"And his opponent. He stands at 5'11" and weighed in at 210 pounds. He is a Street Fighter and a member of the Hooligans. He is a former GCA Heavyweight Champion and has a GCA Record of 4-0 with 1 KO, 2 Submisisons and 1 Referee Stoppage. Fightout out of Liverpool, England. he is "The One Man Army" Andrew Woods!"

The fans roared as "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen played. Woods came out with a look of determination on his face. He got into the cage and Seagal was ready to begin.

"You ready? BRING THE PAIN!"

The fight started off with Andrew hitting a 1-2 Jab Combo. Vector shot in and gave Woods a HARD Suplex! Woods grabbed Vector and held on until Steven Seagal got them up and restarted the fight for lack of action on the ground. The fight restarted and then Woods immediately threw a hard left Elbow that caught Vector on the button...Vector went down in a heap and was out!

Your winner By KO at 2:57 of Round 1: "The One Man Army" Andrew Woods!

Martini said that was the fastest finish of the night. Sky said that Woods was still in championship form. Martini said that all the former champions won their fights so far, and the last fight involved another former champion. It was time for the last fight, not the Main Event, because all these fights were main events. It was time to conclude GCA: resurrection with Vladimir "Kindred" Davovitch against "Uberman" Fritz Kohler.

It was time for The Tale of The Tape. Kindred had a 4 inch height advantage and a whopping 58 pound advantage! Fritz was a Judo expert and Kindred was a pro wrestler and Sambo Fighter. Kindred's record in GCA was nothing to brag about while Fritz broke even. It was time for pre-recorded comments.

Pre-recorded Vignette

"I will feed on the blood of the former champion. His downfall will be my ascension to a Title!"

Pre-recorded Vignette

[Translated from German] "The Goth kid thinks he can defeat me? My skills are superior to his. I do not care if he is bigger and stronger and supposedly a 'vampyre.' Such childishness will not help him once I get him in a Gi Choke."

Martini said this would prove to be an interesting fight as Kindred improved greatly over the past year. It was time to go to Julia Stevenson.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final fight of GCA: resurrection, and the final fight of the Quarterfinals! This bout is 5 rounds in the GCA Heavyweight division! The referee for this fight will be Steven Seagal!"

"Introducing first, he is a Sambo Fighter and Pro Wrestler. He stands at 6'5" and weighed in at 275. He fights out of Transylvania and is the captain of The Embraced. He has a GCA Record of 1-3 with 1 Submission. He is Vladimir 'Kindred' Davovitch!"

"March of the Dead" by Becoming the Archtype played as Kindred came out in his knee length black trunks and white Goth shirt. Martini said that first Walt Peterson had a new theme, and now so does Kindred. Bob Sky said it sounded spooky. Martini said that the GCA record shouldn't fool anyone, In Martial Combat Kindred was ranked #1 in Peru with a 27-9 record. Kindred entered the Pentagon and recieved instructions from Seagal.

"And his opponent. He is a Judo fighter who stands at 6'1" and weighed in at 218 pounds. He has a GCA Record of 2-2 with 1 KO and 1 referee Stoppage. He is fighting out of Munich, Germany and is a former GCA Heavyweight Champion. He is 'Uberman' Fritz Kohler!"

"Engel" by Rammstein played as Fritz came out in his Gi. He dismissed the booing crowd and made a bee-line for the Pentagon. Martini said this would be interesting.

"You ready? BRING THE PAIN!"

Round 1: Kindred and Kohler met and Kindred immediately went for the shot. He got Double Underhooks on Kohler and pushed him to the cage. Kindred then exploded with power and gave Kohler a side Suplex. Kindred then backed away and let Kohler get to his feet. Kindred shot in again, got the underhooks and then lifted Kohler up, walked around with him and slammed him down. Martini said that Kindred was taunting Kohler and that could be a mistake. They clinched again and this time Kohler executed an O-Guruma (big whirl) that set Kindred down hard. Kohler got the mount and nailed Kindred with repeated Kirioroshi (downward cut) strikes that busted the vampyre open! Just as Seagal was about to jump in, Kindred grabbed Kohler and hauled him down. Kindred swept to Half Guard and held Kohler for the rest of the round.

The fans were booing vehemtently. Martini said they hadn't forgotten Kohler's anti-American sentiment. Bob Sky said that the crowd had fighters they liked and fighters tey didn't. This fight was a case of fighters who hated each other.

Round 2: Kindred came out and scored with a coule of quick rights. He then threw a left and low kick. Kohler responded by hitting an Ashi-fumi (foot stamp) that seemed to make Vlad mad. They circled each other and kept grazing each other with shots. Kindred then took Kohler down and worked on the body until the buzzer sounded.

Bob Sky said Kindred had a slight adavnatage in the second round but said the fight was still being won by Kohler. Martini said he expected big things for the next round.

Round 3: Kindred came out early and got the double underhooks. He used them to take Kohler down with a nice hard slam. From there, Kindred got the mount position and went for the legs. Duncan said it looked Kindred was trying for either a Kneebar or a Heel Hook. Kohler fought hard and struggled against it. Sky confirmed that it was a Kneebar that Kindred was going after. Kohler managed to slip out after much effort and scrambled to get back to his feet. They were both back up where they circled and traded the occasional jab. Kohler tried a Sinlge Leg but Kindred was able to block it. They stayed in the clinch delivering weak strikes until the round ended.

Martini Duncan said that Kindred needed to keep on trying for submissions. SAky said there seemed to be a momentum shift in Vladimir's favor.

Round 4: Kohler came out and threw an uppercut that missed, but followed with a stright that connected. Kindred fired back with a kick, but Kohler avoided it and rushed in. He tied Kindred up and got a nice Inside Leg Trip. Kindred went down but got his legs up. He placed his feet on Fritz's hips and grabbed Fritz by the Gi and Fritz bent over, trying to break Kindred's guard. Kindred then flipped Frtiz over, onto his back! Fritz got his legs up and Kindred got into his guard. However, Kindred had his feet planted, grabed Kohler's Gi with both hands and with all his might, lift Fritz up and slammed him hard! Then, inside Fritz's guard, Kindred used his hands to push down on Kohler's head and neck with all his weight. Kohler then tapped out!

Winner by Submission at 2:00 of Round 4: Vladimir "Kindred" Davovitch!

Sky said this was a big win for Kindred, Martini said the biggest surprise was going on as they spoke. The fans were actually chanting "Kin-dred!" Duncan said that Kindred used a hold not seen often as a finisher...it was a can Opener Neck Crank. In order for it to be a finisher, the person applying it must be very powerful. Usually, escape is easy, but Sky noted, Kindred wasn't letting Kohler go. Ryan Duncan said it was time to go to William Hung...

As William tried to speak to Vladimir Davovitch...Kindred shoved him out of the way! Kindred kept on walking out of The Pentagon and up the ramp as the GCA Medics, led by Drs Duncan and Sheridan went down to attend to JKohler, who still appeared to be hurting.

Ryan Duncan thanked everyone for watching GCA: Resurrection. He said that next month they would be back on PPV with 8 fights, the 4 Semi Final fights for the Lightweight and Heavyweight Title Tournaments, and then 4 other great fights. Keep watching the GCA website for updates on the name of the event, the date, location and who will be appearing. Once again, thanks for tuning in to GCA: Resurrection from Las Vegas and have a great night!
