Tghe Lightweight and Heavyweight Tournaments to decide the new GCA Champions will come to an end at GCA 8: Ascension, as well, there are 6 other exciting fights!
Lightweight Fight:
Gary "The Great" Campbell (Greco Roman) v "The Barbarian" Barry Connor (Jiu-Jitsu)
Both fighters have the worst record in Global Combat Alliance...0-4. One will tatse the sweet tatse of victory, the other will suffer another humiliating defeat.
Heavyweightweight Fight:
"The Assassin" Andrei Valimov (Da Dao Karate) v "Simply Fantastic" Tyrique Jones (Tae Kown Do)
This is a risky fight for Valimov who last month got the fastest KO in GCA history and also earned the best record in GCA. Tyrique with a record 3-2 inside The Pentagon has nothnig to lose from this fight. Will Valimov make it a perfect 6-0 or will "Simply Fantastic" score a fantastic upset?
Lightweight Fight:
Count Ronaldo Montillan (Kenpo) v "Fearless" Jack Chun (Kuntao)
Count Ronaldo had a big win at GCA 7: Bloodbath. Jack Chun has a 1-1 record and was known in GCA has being an exciting fighter. This promises to be an exciting fight.
Heavyweightweight Fight:
"Big Train" Bruce Roberts (Shootfighting) v "Big Mac Attack" Travis McClain (Drunken Boxing)
Bruce Roberts injured Yoshi Irizawa last month, and now he takes on another big man in McClain. Both men are less than .500 and a win would be huge for either fighter.
Lightweight Fight:
Russell Black (Judo) v Demont "Pimp Daddy Slick" Clemons (Freestyle Wrestling)
With a GCA Record of 4-2, Russell Black is often overlooked in the GCA Lightweight Title Hunt and was omitted from the Tournament. He fopes that a win over Clemons will make a title shot iron clad. Demont Clemons hopes to get more Pentagon experience under his belt.
Heavyweightweight Fight:
Stan Roper (Freestyle Fighting) v "Sky High" Bob Myles (Tae Kown Do)
Both of these guys make their return to GCA. Stan won his last 2 GCA fights, including a win over Dan Howards. Bob Myles lost hgis last GCA fight and hopes to make his return memorable.
Global Combat Alliance Lightweight Title Tournament Finals:
"Phenomenal" Mong Boo (Muay Thai) v "The Furious Fist" Li Yung (Jeet Kune Do)
Mong Boo has lived up to his moniker,"Phenomenal." In the GCA Lightweight Title Tounrament, he scored a second round KO over Billy Malone and then a second round KO over former GCA Lightweight Champion, Declan MacIntosh. He was supposed to fight "Rather Studly" Mike Burnett, but Mike was injured in his fight with Esteban Suave and won't be able to fight. GCA Owner/ Commissioner Stefano DiMera along with the Global Combat Alliance Executive named Li Yung as the contender. Even though Li Yung doesn't have the best record, he is a valiant fighter who gives his all. As well, since Li Yung and Mong Boo are both strikers, they have consented to the fight being a Bangkok Rope Fight! This promises to be brutal and satisfying for martial arts fans.
Global Combat Alliance Heavyweight Title Tournament Finals:
"Heavy Hittin" Dan Howards (Shootfighting) v Vladimir "Kindred" Davovitch (Sambo/pro wrestling)
Dan Howards defeated both members of the Belfonta Top Team by use of submissions. Kindred defeated both former GCA Heavyweight Champions. One was beaten by submission, the other knocked out, but both witnessed the awesome and scary strength of Kindred. Will Dan Howards be able to neutralize the power of Kindred and ascend to greatness? Or will Kindred run roughshod over Howards in front of Kindred's most devoted following and send Howards to hell?
